WCSO Alerts: Accidents, arrests and missing firearm keep deputies busy Wednesday

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 3

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 83 and Jacks Creek Water Plant. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this safety check.
Citation in reference to Safety Check:

  • One motorist was cited for Driving While License Suspended.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Cheek Road. No life threatening injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Suspicious Person- Jon Veamoi was arrested at a gas station on Mount Vernon Road for an outstanding warrant out of Hall County following being found on location after hours.

Lost Item- Deputies took a report at a residence on Eagles Nest Court in Eagles Crossing Subdivision in reference to complainant missing a firearm. Firearm was placed on the national database as missing.

ZONE 6

Arrest- James Blake was arrested at a residence on Ridgeway Drive for an outstanding Child Support warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 7

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Centerhill Church Road. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
