The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, May 18, 2018 to Sunday, May 20, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
May 18, 2018
Arrest- Tyler Pierce was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
Hit and Run- Deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the area of Highway 81 and Gum Creek Church Road. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Arrest- Thomas Malcom was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and H D Atha Road for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
Arrest- Wendy Nash was arrested in the area of East Church Street and Young Street for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County following a traffic stop.
Citation- One motorist was given a written warning citation in the area of Windermere Drive for speeding.
Shots Fired- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Nunnally Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting they heard a firearm(s) discharge outside their residence following an altercation. One arrest was made in reference to the incident. The Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are still investigating the incident.
CITY OF MONROE
Armed Robbery- Deputies assisted Monroe Police Department in attempting to locate three unknown males that assaulted an individual and took several items from them in the area of North Broad Street near Scoops.
CITY OF WALNUT GROVE
Arrest- Curtis Pearce was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue near Walnut Grove Baptist Church for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Doogwood Dell Drive in reference to recent entering autos and suspicious activity going on in the area.
