The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday – Wednesday, May 7 – 9, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a   conviction.

Monday, May 7, 2018

ZONE 1

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hightower Trail and Whitehead Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.
            Citations in Reference to this Safety Check:

  • One motorist cited for Expired License

ZONE 2

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Social Circle Jersey Road near the Water Treatment Plant. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest or citations in reference to this Safety Check.

ZONE 3

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Old Monroe Madison Highway in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking items from complainants residence sometime between 8:30pm Sunday, May 6th and 6:45pm Monday, May 7th.

ZONE 4

Stolen Lawn Mower/Trailer- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made forced entry onto their property and took a lawn mower and trailer for the location sometime between 6:00pm Friday, May 4th and 9:30am Monday, May 7th. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene investigating the incident.

Explosives- Deputies responded to the area of Mountain Creek Church Road in reference to several complainants of a loud explosion and wide spread power outages in the area. After further investigation deputies determined it was a large transformed that has blown.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Dustan Mooneyham was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near Waffle House for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Escoe Drive and Rosebud Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest or citations in reference to this Safety Check.

Theft- Deputies took a report at A&A Mini Storage in the area of Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual cut their lock and replaced it with a new one and took several items from their storage unit sometime between 5:30pm on Saturday, May 5th and 7:50pm on Monday, May 7th. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

ZONE 7

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Youth Jersey Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was knocking on their doors and windows around 10:30pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Anglin Road in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles in the area between 2:30pm-3:30pm.

ZONE 3

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hightower Trail and Whitehead Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this Safety Check.
            Arrest in Reference to this Safety Check:

  • Chris Pendley was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, an outstanding warrant out of Hall County, and an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County.

Arrest- Joshua Day was arrested in the area of Brentwood Boulevard and Pannell Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Tommy Dillard Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male carrying a white plastic bag attempted to make entry into their residence, but left on foot after being confronted around 10:00AM. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the male. Extra patrol in reference to the incident.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Mountain Creek Church Road and Summerset Drive. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this Safety Check.
            Arrest in Reference to this Safety Check:

  • Shaun Brookshire was arrested for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute.
 Wednesday, May 9, 2018

CITY OF LOGANVILLE

Armed Robbery- Walton County deputies assisted Loganville Police Department with attempting to locate a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred at the Dollar General on Highway 78 that occurred around 9:50pm. Loganville Police Department currently investigating the incident.

ZONE 1

Burglary- Deputies responded to a residence on Alcovy Station Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made forced entry into the residence and several items taken around 1:30pm. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the incident.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Jonathan Williamson was arrested in the area of Social Circle Parkway and North Cherokee Road for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Arrest- Travis Bradberry was arrested in the area of Highway 186 and Moina Michael Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Anthony Massey was arrested in the area of Highway 78 near Between Grocery for Bond Forfeiture.

Hit & Run Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle hit and run accident in the area of Highway 81 and Ozora Church Road around 4:00pm. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.
