Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for the first two days of 2018 – Jan. 1 – 2, 2018. Please note a charge or arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, January 1, 2018

ZONE 1

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Scotty Cannella was arrested in the area of Squirrel Hollow Road and Vine Street for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a suspicious persons call.

ZONE 3

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Brandon Daws was arrested at a residence in the area of Gratis Road for Theft by Receiving.

ZONE 5

Nothing Reported.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Christy Harbour was arrested at a residence on Claude Brewer Road for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a traffic stop.

Suspicious Activity- Deputies conducted an area check at a business in the area of Highway 78 and found an unoccupied vehicle with the hood ajar and the battery missing. Deputies attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner, but were unsuccessful.

ZONE 7

Damage to Property- Deputies responded to the area of Timberland Road in reference to an unknown individual striking a light pole and knocked it out of the ground.

Citation- Deputies issued citations at a residence on Pebble Place for a County Ordinance following a dispute.

Suspicious Activity- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of New Horizon Drive in reference to complainant seeing a large shadow in their backyard and their canines barking aggressively around 11:30 PM. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 1

Arrest- Jordan Dallas was arrested at a residence on Frost Road in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale following a dispute.

ZONE 3

Arrest- James Mooney was arrested at a residence on Magnolia Ridge Road for Theft by Taking.

ZONE 4

ZONE 6

Burglary- Deputies responded to several residences in the area of Mary Lane in reference to an unknown individual entering three vehicles and taking an all-terrain vehicle. All-terrain vehicle was recovered. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division handled the scene of the incidents. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incidents. 

Arrest- Dakota Herring was arrested at a residence in the area of Highway 81 for an outstanding warrant out of Putnam County.

ZONE 7

Suspicious Activity- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Emerald Drive in reference to an unknown individual messing with the doorknob to complainant’s residence in the early morning hours. Individual fled the scene when homeowner turned on the lights and was wearing dark clothing. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.
