WCSO Alerts: Convertors stolen off vehicles at several businesses overnight Wednesday

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020

ZONE 3

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Bearden Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual in the area going door-to-door soliciting for carpet cleaning services. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Shoal Creek Road in reference to several complainants of an ongoing issue with tractor-trailers cutting through on Shoal Creek Road. Deputies checked the area but had no contact with any tractor-trailers. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

ZONE 5

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Bullock Trace in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered their unlocked vehicle and took several items sometime between 8:00 pm February 11th and 7:00 am February 12th. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

ZONE 6

Theft- Deputies took a report at several businesses (Sky Collision, Scarlet Thrift, and Two Brother Auto Sales) in reference to an unknown individual taking converters off numerous vehicles on location at the businesses sometime throughout the night. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to Windermere Subdivision in reference to a complaint of unknown individuals in a black in color SUV soliciting in the area around 5:30 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 25-year-old Snellville man was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.
