WCSO Alerts: Covington man arrested following slew of entering autos in Walton Estates

Walton County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to lock their vehicles and removed items of value, especially overnight, due to the recent increase of entering autos.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office Reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Wednesday, Sept. 16 – Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020

ZONE 4

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Parker Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took items from the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 5:30 pm Sept. 15  and 5:30 pm Sept. 16.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 21-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Twin Lakes Drive for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Maintain Lane following a single vehicle accident.

ZONE 6

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on McCullers Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took numerous items from the residence sometime between the end of August and September 16. Complainant also reported a 4-wheeler was taken from the residence. ATV was placed on the National Database as stolen. WCSO Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident. 

Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020

ZONE 1

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on PJ East Road in reference to an unknown individual taking items from the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 8:00 pm Sept. 16 and 6:30 am Sept. 17.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Sweetwater Court in reference to an unknown individual entering the complainant’s unlocked vehicle and taking numerous items including a firearm sometime between 7:30 pm Sept. 16 and 3:00 pm Sept. 17.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Youth Jersey Road in reference to an unknown individual entering two of the complainant’s unlocked and taking numerous items including a firearm and Louis Vuitton purse sometime between 12:00 am and 11:55 am.

Arrest- A 53-year-old Oxford man was arrested at a residence on Cannon Farm Road for Criminal Trespass after being found on location without permission numerous times throughout the day.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 41-year-old Loganville woman was arrested at a residence on Azalea Drive for Battery and Cruelty to Children in the 3rd Degree following a dispute.

Arrest- A 42-year-old Loganville woman was arrested at a residence on Etchison Road for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 6

Shoplifting- Deputies responded to a business on Miller Bottom Road, Dollar General, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from the business around 5:50 pm and fled the scene. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual. 

Friday, Sept. 18, 2020

ZONE 2

Arrest- A 31-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Whitney Road for a Violation of a Protection Order.

Arrest- A 22-year-old Social Circle man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Cherokee Street for an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Blasingame Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the complainant’s laptop from the residence sometime on Sept. 17. Laptop was placed on the National Database as stolen.

Arrest- A 42-year0old Oxford resident was arrested in the area of Highway 78 near The Store for Failure to Maintain Lane and an outstanding Homicide by Vehicle 2nd Degree warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 25-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a park in the area of Mount Vernon Road for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant following a suspicious person call.

Arrest- A 35-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on North Broad Street for an outstanding Child Molestation warrant out of Walton County.

Arrest- A 33-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Cattle Barn Road and Highway 78 for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Meadow Wood Lane in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking several items from the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 7:00 pm Sept. 17 and 9:00 am Sept. 18. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 45-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 43-year-old Lithonia resident was arrested in the area of Jakes Cove for Obstruction following a brief pursuit following a suspicious vehicle call.

Arrest- A 36-year-old Atlanta woman was arrested at a residence on Lakeside Boulevard for Battery and Cruelty to Children 1st Degree, and Public Intoxication following a dispute. 

Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020

ZONE 1

Entering Auto- Deputies took several reports at residences in Lake Walton Estates Subdivision in reference to complainants reporting an unknown individual entered numerous unlocked vehicles at several residences in the subdivision sometime overnight. Numerous items were reported missing including a firearm and the remote to the front gate of the subdivision. Firearm was placed on the National Database as stolen. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Arrest- A 19-year-old Covington man was arrested at a residence on Barrett Woods Road for Entering Auto, two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of Xanax following being found a suspect in the Entering Autos reported in Lake Walton Estates Subdivision. Stolen firearm and numerous other items recovered. Still under further investigation.

ZONE 2

Trespassing- Deputies responded to Alcovy Station Lane at Waterside Drive in reference to a complaint of three unknown individuals on location fishing without permission. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were issued criminal trespass warnings.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 33-year-old Monroe woman and a 34-year-old Bishop man were arrested in the area od Mount Vernon Road following a traffic stop. The woman was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Drug Related Objects and the man was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Oconee County. 

ZONE 6

Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Annslee Circle at the Rock Quarry in reference to unknown individuals on location. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

Arrest- A 21-year-old Dacula man was arrested in the area of Miller Bottom Road for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime following a suspicious person call. 

Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020

ZONE 2

Arrest- A 37-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Hickory Nut Way for Battery following a dispute.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 22-year-old Social Circle man was arrested at a residence on Blasingame Road for Battery and Interference with a 911 Call following a dispute. 

Monday, Sept. 21, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 28-year-old Covington man was arrested in the area of Monroe Jersey Road near Jersey Holiness Church for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Possession of THC Oil, and a Seatbelt Violation following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 31-year-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Chandler Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 52-year-old Martin woman was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near the All Star for an outstanding warrant out of Jackson County following a traffic stop.

Arrest- A 45-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Bold Springs Road for Criminal Trespass following being on location after being issued a criminal trespass warning. 

Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020

ZONE 6

Entering Auto- Deputies took reports at residences on Richards Walk in reference to complainants reporting an unknown individual entered four unlocked vehicles in the area and took numerous items sometime between 1:00 am and 6:20 am. One firearm was reported stolen, and it was placed on the national database as stolen. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the incidents.

Arrest- A 38-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Linda Drive and Mary Lane for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Following Too Closely following a traffic stop. 

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 46-year-old Monroe woman was arrested at a residence on Walton Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Parker Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking items from the back of the complainant’s truck sometime between 8:00 pm Sept. 22 and 6:20 am Sept. 24.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 33-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Orchard Circle for Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle, Driving Under the Influence, and a Probation Violation following being found in possession of a vehicle the was reported stolen from The Creek Church on Mountain Creek Church Road.

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on North Broad Street in reference to complainant reporting a unknown individual taking items from the complainants front porch sometime overnight. Extra patrol in reference to the incident.

ZONE 6

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Bermuda Court in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual wearing a hoodie with their face covered ringing the complainant’s doorbell around 11:30 pm. Individual fled the area on foot prior to deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident
