The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, June 19 – Sunday, June 21, 2o2o. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on McDaniel Street in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual drove through the complainant’s yard causing damage sometime between 12:00 am and 6:30 am.
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Ike Stone Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual shot the complainant’s cow sometime on June 17th, but the cow was deceased this day June 19th.
Firearms Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 11 in reference to a complaint of firearms being discharged in the area around 3:00 am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but never came in contact with anyone.
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence in Jackson Mobile Home Park in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s residence in what appeared to be an attempt to gain forced entry into the residence sometime between 5:15 pm and 6:10 pm. Nothing appeared to be missing at the time of the report.
Firearms Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Woodchase Drive in Woodchase Subdivision in reference to a complaint of an individual shooting a firearm around 4:40 pm. Deputies made contact with the individual and they were advised to no longer shoot in the area.
Arrest- A 66-year-old Monroe resident was arrested in the area of Arbor Road for Driving Under the Influence following a single-vehicle accident with no injuries.
Arrest- A 72-year-old Oxford resident was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near Crowes Gas Station by Georgia State Patrol following a hit and run accident, with no reported injuries, that occurred in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue.
Arrest- A 59-year-old Statham resident was arrested by Barrow County deputies for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County. Barrow County deputies transported Phillips to the county line where he was released to Walton County deputies.
Trespassing- Deputies responded to a residence on Fox Valley Drive in reference to complainant reporting unknown individuals gained forced entry onto the complainant’s property and were riding four-wheelers through the complainant’s yard around 11:00 pm. The suspect fled the area prior to the deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with the individual(s).
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Meadow Mist Court in reference to complainant reporting unknown individuals damaged a door to the complainant residence. Possibly juvenile suspects. Extra patrol in reference to the incident.
