WCSO Alerts: Damage to property, hit and run investigations and drug arrests

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, July 17 to Sunday, July 19, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, July 17, 2020

ZONE 2
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Dean Hill Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaging the complainant’s mailbox sometime between 9:00pm July 16th and 10:30am July 17th.
 
ZONE 5
 
Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on New Hope Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took a Nintendo Switch from the complainant’s residence sometime between 9:00am July 14thand 1:00pm July 17thNintendo was placed on the National Database as stolen.

ZONE 5
 
Arrest- A 35-year-old Monroe resident was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road and Highway 11 for Driving Without Headlights, Operating and Unregistered Vehicle, No Helmet, Reckless Driving and Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.
 
ZONE 7
 
Hit and Run Accident- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lakeside Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual struck the complainants vehicle and left the area sometime between 7:30pm July 17th and 9:00am July 18th.
 
Hit and Run Accident- Deputies took a report at a residence on Mill Circle in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual struck the complainants vehicle and left the area sometime between 10:00pm July 17th and 11:00am July 18th.

Sunday, July 19, 2020
 
ZONE 4

Arrest- Kelsey A 22-year-old Social Circle resident and a 20-year-old Monroe resident were arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Walker Drive following a traffic stop. The Social Circle resident was arrested for Probation Violation, Obstruction, Giving False Information, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Related Objects. The Monroe resident was arrested for Probation Violation, Giving False Information, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
 
Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Mountain Creek Church Road in reference to a complaint of an individual shooting a firearm in the area. Deputies made contact with they individual and they were shooting in a legal and safe manner.
