WCSO Alerts: Firearms and fireworks complaints

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Awareness Community Alerts for the period Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, May 28, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 38-year-old Covington resident was arrested in the area of Highway 138 near Woodlake Baptist Church for Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Suspended, and Taillight Violation following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 22-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Grady Smith Road for Child Molestation and Sexual Assault.

ZONE 5

Trespassing- Three individuals were issued Criminal Trespass citations in the area of Watson Mill Court for an ongoing issue with the individuals trespassing at the complainant’s residence.

ZONE 7

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Cannon Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a blue in color passenger van striking the complainant’s mailbox causing damage around 8:40 pm.

Saturday, May 30, 2020

ZONE 1

Suspicious Persons- Deputies responded to the area of Shepherds Crossing in reference to a complaint of three unknown individuals on four-wheelers damaging the area of the subdivision sign around 10:30 pm. When individuals saw deputies, they fled the scene into the wood line. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with the individuals.

ZONE 5

Citation- Two individuals were cited at a residence on Hillside Drive for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Azalea Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual walking around the complainant’s residence in the afternoon hours.

Firearms Complainant- Deputies responded to the area of Shadow Creek Drive in reference to a complaint of possible gunshots around 9:00 pm. Deputies checked the area and made contact at a residence on Shadow Lane who advised they were lighting firecrackers. Everything appears to be okay.

ZONE 6

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Rosebud Road in reference to an ongoing issue with possible gunshots being fired in the area during the nighttime hours.

ZONE 7

Suspicious Activity- Deputies responded to a residence on Youth Jersey Road in reference to complainant reporting their vehicle doors were opened when they walked out of their residence around 4:30 pm. Complainant reporting nothing appeared to be missing or tampered with.

CITY OF MONROE

Arrest- A 48-year-old Athens man was arrested at a residence on East Church Street for an outstanding probation violation warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 3

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on Pleasant Valley Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual beating on the side of the complainant’s residence around 2:00 am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 55-year-old Monroe woman was arrested at a residence on Elizabeth Drive for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 41-year-old Lithonia man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Claude Brewer Road for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.
