The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for the weekend, Friday, Oct. 20 to Sunday, October 22, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, October 20, 2017

ZONE 1

Arrest- Kelly Griffin was arrested in the area of H D Atha Road and Liberty Hill Church Road for an outstanding warrant out of Rockdale County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 2

Speeding/Drag Racing- Deputies responded to the area of Roy Malcom Road in reference to several motorist drag racing in the area.

ZONE 3

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 186 and Jones Pines Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest or citations in reference to this safety check.

ZONE 5

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road in reference to an unknown individual taking complainant’s firearm from their residence.

Road Rage- Deputies responded to a residence on Ridge Court in reference to a resident confronting a motorist for speeding in the area resulting in a verbal dispute. Deputies made contact with both parties, situation was mediated.

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on White Oak Trace in reference to homeowner hearing someone or something on their porch. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 6

Identity Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Brushy Mill Court in reference to an unknown individual stealing complainant’s identity and opening a back account under her name.

ZONE 7

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on H D Atha Road in reference to an unknown individual taking a golf cart from complainant’s residence.

Saturday, October 21, 2017

CITY OF MONROE:

Arrest- Ashleigh Harrison was arrested at a business in the area of West Spring Street for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County for a Probation Violation.

ZONE 1

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Main Street and Saratoga Street. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this safety check.
            Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

  • William Chapman was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

ZONE 2

ZONE 3

Road Rage- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 11 and Dial Road in reference to an unknown motorist following complainant from the Conyers area and blocked complainant’s vehicle in the area of Dial Road when they turned. The unknown motorist approached complainant’s vehicle in an aggressive manner and attempted to open the vehicle door. The suspect fled prior to deputy’s arrival. Deputies thoroughly check the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

ZONE 1

Arrest- Kevin Solomon and Anastaisa Williams were arrested in the area of Highway 138 following a short police chase that ended in a single vehicle accident on McDaniel Street and both individuals fled on foot but were caught and detained. Stolen firearm out of Dekalb County Recovered.

  • Kevin Solomon was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, Taillight Violation, Fleeing to Elude, Passing on Solid Yellow Line, Failure to Maintain Lane, Reckless Driving, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Theft by Receiving, Running a Red Light, Speeding, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Giving False Information to an Officer, Obstruction of an Officer, Running a Stop Sign, and Aggravated Assault.
  •  Anastaisa Williams was arrested for Littering in the Highway, Obstruction of an Officer, Giving False Information to an Officer, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Theft by Receiving, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Permit/Unlicensed Person to Drive.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Cameron Baker was arrested at a residence on Hickory Nut Way in reference to outstanding warrants out of Monroe Police Department.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Miranda Drive in reference to an individual taking several items from the residence.

ZONE 3

ZONE 5

Arrest- Stevenson Alty, Kenneth Howard and Rashod Howard were arrested in the area of Highway 78 following a traffic stop. Stevenson Alty was arrested for Giving False Name to an Officer and Kenneth Howard and Rashod Howard were arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Forgery/Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Sweetwater Trail in reference to an unknown individual taking a check out of complainant’s mailbox and in turn creating and cashing checks out of complainants account.
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Oakmount Way in reference to an unknown individual entering complainant’s residence and taking several items.

ZONE 7

Arrest- William Johnson was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Rowe Road for Driving Under the Influence and Driving While License Suspended following a vehicle accident with no injuries. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.
