The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Awareness Crime Alerts for the period Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019 to Monday, Jan. 22, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019

ZONE 3

Arrest – Domiqueonk Watt was arrested at a residence on Arcadia Court in reference to an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Friday, Jan. 18, 2019

ZONE 1

Arrest- Joshua Peters was arrested in the area of Rockdale County for Fleeing to Elude, Driving While License Suspended, Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device, No Passing on Shoulder, Driving on the Wrong side of the Road, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Passing on Solid Yellow Line and Reckless Driving following a vehicle pursuit that originated in Walton County in the area of Highway 138 and Nunnally Drive.

Arrest- Cedrick Jackson was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Habersham Circle for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, and an outstanding warrant out of Monroe Police Department following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at two residences on Parker Drive in reference to complainants reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicles and took several items sometime between 5:45 pm Jan. 17th and 6 am Jan. 18th.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Helen Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 8:30 pm Jan. 17th and 5 am Jan. 18th.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Steven Yearwood was arrested at a residence on South Cross Lane Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Arrest- Tanner Strickland was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near of Ozora Marathon Gas Station for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container following a traffic stop.

Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019

ZONE 4

Arrest- Michelle Frady was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near New Beginnings Church for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Agency Assist- Deputies assisted Loganville Police Department in the area of Highway 81 in reference to locating suspects in a shoplifting at Loganville Walmart around 7:15 pm. Walton County Sheriff Deputies arrested John Sertain and Alan Bischoff and they were turned over to Loganville Police Department.

Arrest- Phillip Cross was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for Driving Under the Influence, Open Container, and Failure to Maintain Lane following a single vehicle accident with no injuries.
 
Citation One individual as cited at a residence on Wild Turkey Trail for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.
 
ZONE 5
 
Hit and Run Accident- Deputies responded to the area of Shannon Road and Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a red in color Lincoln Navigator struck the complainants vehicle and fled the scene around 11:19 am. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the incident.
 
Arrest- Timothy Short was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near the Smiley Mart Gas Station for an outstanding warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
Monday, Jan. 21, 2019

ZONE 5

Arrest- Melissa McGinnis was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and the Barrow County Line for two outstanding Deposit Account Fraud warrants out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Valley Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual making forced entry into complainants residence and taking several items sometime between 10 pm Jan. 20th and 8 am Jan. 21st. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Park Street in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered their unlocked vehicle and took several items sometime between 10 pm Jan. 20th and 8 am Jan. 21st.
