WCSO Alerts: Fraud, theft and several arrests following traffic stops

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, March 9, to Sunday, March 11, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

CITY OF LOGANVILLE

Friday, March 9, 2018

Agency Assist- Walton County Sheriff Deputies assisted Loganville Police Department with a robbery at BB&T Bank. (Update – suspect was arrested later that night).

ZONE 4

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Old Athens Highway in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual contacted them via telephone claiming to be with a Client Rep Service, LLC. The caller reportedly told complainant they could make their computer faster. Complainant reported the unknown individual wired into complainants computer and pulled up complainant’s bank information.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Michael Mayfield was arrested at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County and an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Highland Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual wrapped in a blanket standing in their front yard around 5:14 AM. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Nicholas Poole, Brittany Brooks, and David Renard were arrested in the area of Centerville Rosebud Road and all charged with Open Container, Reckless Conduct, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on South Sharon Church Road in reference to an unknown individual taking items from the residence.

ZONE 7

Arrest- David Lawrence was arrested in the area of Leone Avenue and Park Street for an outstanding warrant out of Snellville Police Department following a two vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries.

Arrest- Gerry Wilburn was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue for and outstanding warrant out of Fulton County Sheriff’s Office following a suspicious vehicle call.

Saturday, March 10, 2018

ZONE 1

Arrest- Teddy Everett was arrested at a residence on Jersey Social Circle Road for Violation a Protection Order following being found on location without permission.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Christy Ramey was arrested at a residence on West Vine Street for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of County Line Road in reference to complainant reporting items missing from their job site.

 

Sunday, March 11, 2018

ZONE 1

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Amber Lane in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made purchases on their credit card several times.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence on Wedgewood Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was seen ringing the doorbell of a residence in the area and running off. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Joe Lacure was arrested in the area of Parks Street and Guthrie Cemetery Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

Citation- One motorist was cited in the area of Woodlake Boluevard for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.
