WCSO Alerts: Items at Walnut Grove High School spray painted

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, June 26, 2020, to Monday, June 29, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, June 26, 2020

ZONE 2

Arrest- A 30-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Whitney Road for Terroristic Threats following a dispute.

ZONE 3

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Mulberry Creek Drive in reference to a complaint of unknown individuals in the woods around 12:20 AM, Deputies made contact with the individuals and they advised their juveniles were playing in the woods, but they would make sure they stayed out of the woods.

ZONE 5

Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of North Crosslane Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual shooting a firearm around 8:45 pm. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were shooting in a safe manner.

ZONE 7

Recovered Vehicle- Deputies recovered a white in color Econoline van in the area of H D Atha Road that was involved in an incident in the City of Monroe. The vehicle was turned over to Monroe Police Department for further investigation.

Arrest- A 57-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Hargrove Drive for Battery, Cruelty to Children in 2nd Degree and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree following a dispute.

Arrest- A 17-year-old Covington resident was arrested in the area of Highway 138 near the Walnut Grove Sunoco Gas Station for an outstanding felony warrant out of Monroe Police Department following a traffic stop.

Saturday, June 27, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 40-year-old Conyers woman was arrested in the area of PJ East Road and Maughon Road for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Mount Carmel Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took items out of the complainant’s mailbox and tampered with them sometime between June 25th and June 27th.

Arrest- A 45-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Sunday, June 28, 2020

ZONE 5

Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Ridgewood Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual shooting a firearm around 8:00 PM. Deputies made contact with the individual and they were shooting in a safe manner.

ZONE 6

Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Rabbit Farm Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual shooting a firearm around 10:20 PM. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact.

Hit and Run- Deputies took a report at a residence on Centerhill Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an amazon delivery driver struck the complaints vehicle and left the residence around 3:00 PM. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.

Monday, June 29, 2020

ZONE 2

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Cox Cemetery Road in reference to a complaint of an ongoing issue with individuals riding four-wheelers in the roadway. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were advised to not ride in the roadways.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Alcovy Mountain Road in reference to an ongoing issue with vehicles drag racing in the area throughout the day.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 23-year-old Lithonia man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and East Marable Street for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Speeding following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 25-year-old Lilburn man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Rock Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 40-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Chandler Haulk Road for Battery following a dispute.

ZONE 7
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at Walnut Grove High School in the area of Guthrie Cemetery Road in reference to an unknown individual(s) spray painting numerous items at the school sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Walton County Sheriff’s Office investigating the incident.
