The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following community alerts for Monday, Feb. 20, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Trespassing- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Highway 78 to take a report of an unknown individual going to the back of complainant property and shooting firearms. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.
Arrest- Jacob West was arrested in the area of Turnberry Place for a Parole Violation, Possession of Schedule II Drugs and Possession of Drug Related Objects after being found asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Plantation Park Drive to take a report of an unknown individual taking complainants trailer from their residence unlawfully. Trailer was placed on the national database as stolen.
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 81 and Tom Brewer Road. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Gum Creek Church Road in reference to two individuals fishing on the property without permission. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were advised to stay off the property.
Arrest- Darren Oliver was arrested in the area of Honey Lane for Theft by Receiving (x2), Possession of Schedule I Drugs, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Obstruction of an Officer, Use of License Plate to Conceal Identity, Reckless Driving, Fleeing/Attempting to Elude and No Driver’s License following a suspicious person complainant.
Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Leone Avenue and Walnut Avenue. No injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident
