WCSO Alerts: Motorist flees after 2-tractor trailer accident

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Wednesday, Thursday, May 2 – 3, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, May 2, 2018

ZONE 4

Hit and Run Accident- Deputies responded to the area of Unisia Drive in reference to a two tractor trailer accident where one motorist fled the scene. No life threatening injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Walton Road near the Monroe City Limits. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest in reference to this Safety Check.
            Citations in Reference to this Safety Check:

  • One motorist was cited for Driving While License Expired
  • One motorist was cited for Driving While Unlicensed

ZONE 5

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on South Cross Lane in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual using their bank information to make unauthorized purchases.

ZONE 7

Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 81 in reference to a complaint of several individuals fishing on the complainants property without permission around 2:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but the individual were gone prior to deputy’s arrival.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Walnut Grove Parkway near Walnut Grove Library in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male motorist in an older model white passenger van stopping and using vulgar language toward the complainant around 3:00pm. Complainant reported they thought the unknown individual was in possession of a firearm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area and issued a lookout for the vehicle, but there was not contact.

Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Bay Court in Meridian Lake Subdivision in reference to a complaint of several unknown individuals on location fishing at the pond around 4:30 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone fishing.

ZONE 1

Arrest- Darrell Weatherford was arrested in the area of Highway 11 near Frog’s Pawn for Possession of Methamphetamine, Vehicle Tag Violation, and Violation of Driving Permit following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Snows Mill Road and Mount Carmel Church Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this Safety Check.
            Arrest in Reference to this Safety Check:

  • John Burgess was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Driving Without a License.
  • Terri Jackson was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
  • Christopher Edmondson was arrested for and outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Possession of Drug Related Objects. 

ZONE 4

Arrest- Floyd Jett was arrested at the Gratis Store in the area of Shoal Creek Road for Driving Under the Influence after a single vehicle accident in the area of Jack Glass Road with no injuries.

Arrest- Antronae Hudson was arrested at a residence on Tommy Dillard Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 5

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Greenridge Trail in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual made unauthorized charges on their bank account.

Arrest- Leon Clement was arrested in the area of Center Hill Church Road near Country Crossing for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a suspicious vehicle complaint.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Tony Eason was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Guthrie Cemetery Road for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a suspicious person complaint.

Arrest- Charles Coppeak was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Atha Circle for Possession of Methamphetamine and Tampering with Evidence following a traffic stop.
