WCSO Alerts: Reports of people claiming to be with Comcast or Dish soliciting at front doors

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, to Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018.

Monday, Nov. 12, 2018

ZONE 1

Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested in the day and night-time hours in the area of Jersey Social Circle Road in reference to complainant reporting two unknown males coming to complainant’s residence around 3:00 pm claiming to be selling something, but would not leave when asked. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individuals.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Bianka Jones was arrested in the area of North Broad Street and Charlotte Rowell Boulevard for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a business on Bay Creek Church Road in reference to an unknown individual taking tags off the complainants company vehicles.

Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018

ZONE 1

Susipcious Person- Deputies responded to a the area of Cannon Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male came to the complainants residence around 5:20 pm claiming to be with Comcast.

Arrest- Casey Cox was arrested at a residence on Twin Pines Road for Obstruction following a dispute.

ZONE 4

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Sims Bridge Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual had driven into the complainants metal fence causing damage sometime between 6:00 pm on November 11th and 1:00 pm on November 13th.

ZONE 5

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Apalachee Ridge Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual gained forced entry on location and took several items from the complainant’s residence sometime between November 9th and November 13th. Extra patrol requested in the day and night-time hours in reference to the incident.

ZONE 7

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Stewart Road and Thompson Mill Road during the day and night-time hours in reference to an ongoing issue with vehicles speeding and driving recklessly in the area.

Suspicious Activity- Deputies responded to the area of Centerhill Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a green in color Chevy Suburban with black paneling and a wooden trailer went down complainant’s driveway slowly and looked into the windows of the vehicles on location around 1:00 pm, but fled the scene when the individual saw the complainant. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Greenhill Way in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male came to their residence claiming to be with Dish Cable Company around 4:00 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but didn’t have contact with anyone.
