WCSO Alerts: Reports of suspicious person claiming to be from water department

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, to Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 27, 2019

Zone 1

Extra Patrol- Deputies took a report at a residence on Isabella Lane in reference to complainant reporting a suspicious individual approached location claiming to be there to fix a water leak. However, the water department was not familiar, and the individual was acting strange. The complainant advised individual was in a white unmarked work truck. Extra Patrol requested.

Zone 4

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lakeland Lane in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the location, turned on water hose and messed with a pool skimmer.

Zone 5

Arrest- A 50-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Double Springs Road for Battery (Family Violence Battery) following a domestic dispute.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at Windstream on Highway 11 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual cut a hole in the fence near dumpsters, appeared to be older damage due to rusting.

Arrest– A 27-year-old Loganville man was arrested at Dollar General on Miller Bottom Road for Driving under the Influence, Open Container and Possession of Schedule 1 (THC) after deputies located a suspicious vehicle parked on location.

Zone 7

Criminal Trespassing- Deputies took a report at a residence on Blue Springs Drive in reference to an individual refusing to leave location and causing a disturbance.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Old Highway 138 in reference to complainant reporting a wallet taken from an unlocked vehicle on location.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Harvest Way in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entering 2 vehicles on location with several miscellaneous items taken.

Arrest- A 26-year-old Loganville man. was arrested in the area of Dutch Mill Road and H D Atha Road for Driving under the Influence following a report of drunk driving.

Saturday,  Sept. 28, 2019

Zone 3

Illegal Dumping- Deputies took a report at a residence on Pannell Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual dumping fencing and other materials on location.

Zone 4

Suspicious Person- Deputies took a report at Gratis Store on Shoal Creek Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual walking around location after closing. No Contact made with individual.

Suspicious Person- Deputies took a report at a residence on Bradley Gin Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual pulled onto location reportedly looking for a lost phone.

Zone 6

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at Jet Auto Sales on Highway 20 in reference to complainant reporting a 2004 Ford F-350 white in color was taken from location around 1:30 am. Entered National Database.

Arrest­- A 23-year-old Snellville resident was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Bailey Circle for Possession of Marijuana following a traffic stop.

Zone 7

Arrest- A 48-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Park Street and Guthrie Cemetery Road for License Suspension and Failure to Appear warrants following a traffic stop.

Sunday, Sept. 29, 2019

Zone 3

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Snows Mill Road in reference to complainant reporting 2 unlocked vehicles were entered on location.

Extra Patrol- Deputies took a report at a residence on Snows Mill Road in reference to complainant reporting several unknown vehicles in the area of a construction site.

Zone 4

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Parklake Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the residence and several personal items were taken from location.

Arrest- A 62-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Shoal Creek Road and Perry Smith Road for Driving under the Influence of Drugs following suspicious vehicle report.

Zone 6

Theft Report- Deputies took a report at CoParts on Highway 20 in reference to complainant reporting several items missing from a vehicle on location. Occurred between Monday, September 7th and Saturday, September 9th
