WCSO alerts: Several arrests including two following pursuits

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, Nov. 30 – Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, Nov. 29, 2019

ZONE 3

Agency Assist: Walton County Deputies assisted Monroe Police Department in the area of Highway 83 and Snows Mill Road with the arrest of Brandis Slaton, 34, of Monroe, following a short pursuit.

ZONE 4

Arrest: William Dooley, 29, of Braselton was arrested in Barrow County for several charges out of multiple agencies after fleeing from Walton County deputies during an attempted traffic stop in the area of Hwy 11 and Eliza Doster Road.

Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019

City of Monroe:

Arrest: Tori Gresham, 25, of Monroe was arrested at The Trading Places for outstanding warrants out of Snellville and Gwinnett County.

ZONE 1

Prowler: Deputies responded to the area of Gauntt Road in reference to complainant reporting that they saw a tall skinny individual shining a cell phone light in their windows around 9:30 pm. No contact was made with any suspicious person. Everything appeared okay. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

Arrest: Deandre Johnson, 24, of Covington was arrested in Newton County for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Prowler: Deputies responded to the area of Camp Lake Road in reference to complainant reporting someone attempted to open the doors and windows of their residence.*  A window was found open but no one was found on location and nothing appeared to be missing.

ZONE 2

Arrest: Chase Moran, 27, of Lilburn was arrested in the area of Social Circle Fair Play Road for Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana Less than an Ounce, Possession of Drug Related Objects and Possession of Drugs to be Kept in Original Container following a suspicious vehicle call.

ZONE 4

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol was requested in the area of Alton Green Rd in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.

ZONE 5

Extra Patrol: Extra patrol requested in the area of Grady Smith Road in reference to a red, Honda, passenger vehicle riding in the area without a tag, occupied by two males.

Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019

ZONE 5

Theft: Deputies responded to a residence on Blackberry Cove in reference to the complainant reporting and unknown individual had stolen the complainants 2019 Honda Rancher four-wheeler. ATV was placed on the National Database as stolen.

Arrest: Joseph Jennings, 49, of Monroe arrested in Gwinnett County for Battery following a dispute that took place in Walton County.

ZONE 6

Arrest: Courtney Thurmond, 44, of Monroe was arrested in the area of Hwy 20 and Windemere Drive an outstanding warrants out of Walton and Rockdale counties, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Schedule II Drugs, and Possession of Schedule III Drugs following a traffic stop.

Monday, Dec. 02, 2019

ZONE 4

Burglary: Deputies responded to a residence on Elizabeth Drive in reference to the complainant reporting an unknown individual removed the screens on the residence and one screen had been cut. A window had also been opened. The complainant reported this occurred sometime between Sunday, Dec. 1st at 10:30 pm and Monday, Dec. 2nd at 2:00 pm. It did not appear that entry had been made into the house or any items taken.

ZONE 5

Arrest: Nelson Perez, 56, of Dacula was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near Bay Creek Shell for DUI and Open Container following a suspicious person call.

ZONE 6

Burglary: Deputies responded to a residence on Tom Brewer Road in reference to the complainant reporting numerous items were taken from a residence under construction sometime between Tuesday, November 26tharound 3:00 pm and Monday, Dec. 2nd.

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019

ZONE 5

Suspicious Person: Deputies responded to a residence on Bullock Trail in reference to the complainant reporting they heard a window being opened and an unknown individual running away from the residence upon the complainant entering the residence. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual.
