WCSO Alerts: Shots fired by trespassers cutting donuts in church parking lot

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents for the period Thursday, Aug. 27 to Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020

ZONE 5
 
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of George Williams and Carl Davis Road in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.
 
ZONE 6
 
Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 20 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the complainants black in color 2004 Ford F350 sometime overnight. Vehicle was placed on the national database as stolen.
 
Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Annslee Circle in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle and took several items. 

Friday, Aug. 28, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 138, Clint’s Garage, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s mailbox sometime overnight. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident and an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.
 
Arrest- A 29-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Camp Lake Road for Fleeing to Elude, No Helmet, Improper Passing, Defacing Tag, and Driving While License Suspended following a brief vehicle pursuit on a dirt bike.
 
ZONE 6
 
Arrest- A 27-year-old Texas resident was arrested at a residence on Lexington Drive for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.
 
ZONE 7
 
Prowler- Deputies responded to the area of Blue Springs Drive in reference to a complainant reporting an unknown individual in white pants was standing across the street from the complainants residence after ringing the doorbell around 4:40 am. Deputies observed numerous footprints on location and thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact. 

Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020

ZONE 2
 
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Grady Lemonds Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown male in a black in color Nissan passenger vehicle coming to the complainant’s residence claiming to be with the Census Bureau, but would not provide the complainant with any identification. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.
 
ZONE 5
 
Illegal Dumping- Deputies responded to the area of Grady Smith Road in reference to an unknown individual dumping several tire on the side of the roadway. No known suspect. Deputies advised Roads & Bridges to remove the tires.
 
ZONE 6
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s mailbox sometime between 5:00 pm August 28th and 12:30 pm August 19th.
 
ZONE 7

Prowler- Deputies responded to the area of Blue Springs Drive in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual walking through several yards of residences in the area around 2:20am. Deputies observed numerous footprints on location and thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Arrest- A 52-year-old Monroe resident was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container following a suspicious person call.
 
ZONE 3
 
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Powers Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s residence and took a firearm sometime between August 27th and August 30th.
 
ZONE 6
 
Arrest- An 18-year-old Loganville resident was arrested at a residence on Justin Drive for Simple Battery and Criminal Damage to Property following a dispute.
 
ZONE 7
 
Arrest- An 18-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Nunnally Trace for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute. 

Monday, Aug. 31, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Arrest- A 39-year-old Newborn man was arrested in the area of Alcovy Station Road and County Line Road for an outstanding warrant out of Jasper County following a vehicle call for service.
 
Arrest- A 20-year-old Oxford man was arrested in the area of Jersey Walnut Grove Road for an outstanding Possession of Drug Related Objects warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
 
ZONE 3
 
Firearms Complainants- Deputies responded to the area of Windfield Drive in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual shooting a firearm in the area around 4:00am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.
 
ZONE 4
 
Arrest- A 20-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Jack Glass Road for 4 counts of Party to a Crime (Aggravated Assault) and 4 counts of Party to a Crime (Robbery) following a dispute.
 
ZONE 6
 
Shots Fired- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 20 in reference to a report of unknown individuals in a vehicle cutting donut in the parking lot of Centerhill Church around 12:30am. Suspects fled the area prior to deputy’s arrival and fired off 5 shots in the air. Deputies located 5 shell casings in the roadway. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident. 

Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020

ZONE 3
 
Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Trace Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered two vehicles at the residence sometime overnight on August 30th and took several items. 

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

ZONE 5
 
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a business on Highway 78, the FISH, in reference to an unknown individual getting items out of the dumpsters around 1:30am. Deputies made contact with the individual and they returned the items. Individual was issued a Criminal Trespass warning for the location.
