WCSO Alerts: Slew of entering auto complaints

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 to Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 19, 2019

Zone 2

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputy took a report at a residence on Walnut Drive in reference to a suspicious unknown individual driving a small white passenger car thru the area. Walton County Sheriff’s Office has started an extra patrol of the area.

Zone 4

Theft Report- Deputy took a report at a residence on Summerset Court in reference to a complainant reporting an impact drill was taken from the residence by a possible known suspect.

Zone 5

Arrest- A woman was arrested in the area of Bold Springs Road and Stock Gap Road for Driving Under the Influence following a suspicious vehicle report.

Arrest- A subject was arrested in the area of New Hope Church Road and Double Springs for an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop.

Entering Auto- Deputy took a report at a residence on River Landing Drive in reference to complainant reporting a handgun taken out of complainant’s vehicle by an unknown individual sometime in the last week. Entered on National Database.

Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019

Zone 5

Arrest- A 43-yea-old woman from Stone Mountain, Ga, was arrested at a residence on Dogwood Lane for Family Violence Battery following a Dispute call.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputy took a report at a residence on Fairwinds Drive in reference to a green van in the area complainant advised it has been in the area before.

Zone 6

Theft Report- Deputy took a report at a residence on Annslee Circle in reference to a garbage container that was taken from behind complainant’s home sometime between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm.

Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019

Zone 2

Entering Auto- Deputy took a report at a residence on Cole Drive in reference to complainant advising an unknown individual attempted to enter a vehicle on location, no items were taken entry was not a success.

Damage to Property- Deputy took a report at a residence on Alcovy Street in reference to complainant’s outer window broken and inner window still intact.

Theft Report- Deputy took a report at a residence on Hancock Drive in reference to complainant’s medication taken out of the mailbox by an unknown individual.

Zone 4

Arrest- A 30-year-old subject from Walton County was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County following a suspicious persons call.

Zone 5

Suspicious Persons- Deputy took a report at a residence on Providence Club Drive in reference to complainant reporting an individual on a two-wheeled vehicle possibly soliciting in area.

Zone 6

Animal Bite- Deputy took a report at a residence on Youth Monroe Road in reference to complainant reporting a dog biting an individual on location. The dog was no longer on location.

Extra Patrol- Deputy took a report at a residence on Emily Way in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual on location walking around sometime between 1:00 am and 4:00 am.     
Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019       Zone 2

Entering Auto- Deputy took a report at a residence on Hancock Drive in reference to a complaint of an unsecured vehicle entered by an unknown individual, no items were taken.

Entering Auto- Deputy took a report at a residence on Hancock Drive in reference to a complaint of two unsecured vehicles entered during late-night hours by an unknown individual, no items taken.

Entering Auto- Deputy took a report at a residence on Hancock Drive in reference to a complaint of two vehicles entered during late-night hours by an unknown individual, no items taken.

Zone 3

Arrest- A 50-year-old Clarke County resident was arrested in the area of Highway 83 and Snows Mill Road for Possession of Methamphetamine and Tampering with Evidence following a traffic stop.

Zone 5

Arrest- A 61-year-old resident of Walton County was arrested in the area of Cown Road for Possession of Schedule 1 and 2 Substances following a suspicious vehicle call.

Theft Report- Deputy took a report in the area of Highway 11 and Mountain Creek Church Road complainant reported unknown individual took a vehicle part from a vehicle broken down on location.

Zone 6

Recovered Vehicle- Deputy took a report at a location on Highway 20 in reference to stolen vehicle out of Clayton County.
