WCSO Alerts: Slew of suspicious person complaints

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, to Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 9, 2019

ZONE 1

Theft: Deputies took a report at a residence on County Line Road in reference to the complainant reporting an unknown individual removed a laptop computer out of the original box prior to it being delivered to the complainant by Federal Express.

ZONE 3

Suspicious Person: Deputies took a report at a residence on Pannell Road in reference to the complainant reporting that an unknown individual approached the complainant’s residence and inquired as to whether or not the residence was for sale sometime around 2:00 pm. The residence is not listed for sale. The unknown individual left in an electrician style work van prior to the deputy’s arrival. Extra patrol was requested in reference to this incident.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Person: Deputies took a report at a residence on White Oak Trace in reference to an unknown male and female approaching the residence sometime around 1:30 pm and then left in a white Toyota Camry prior to deputy’s arrival.

ZONE 6

Arrest: Deputies took a report at a residence on Windemere Drive in reference to the complainant reporting that a juvenile had entered the complainant’s vehicle and stole personal items. The juvenile was later arrested and transported to the Youth Detention Facility.

Arrest:
– Tyler McCormick (19 of Marietta) was arrested on Hwy 78/Tom Brewer Road for Possession of Marijuana following a traffic stop.

– Ayanna Cottle (21 of Marietta) was arrested on Hwy 78/Tom Brewer Road for an outstanding Contempt of Court warrant out of Clayton County Police Department following a traffic stop.

Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019

ZONE 1

Arrest: A juvenile was arrested in the area Michael Etchison Road near Hwy 138 for Felony Obstruction of an Officer following an altercation with deputies following a Juvenile Complaint Call. The juvenile was transported to Rockdale County Youth Detention Center.

ZONE 4

Arrest: A 37-year-old Winder woman was arrested by Winder Police Department in reference to an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County. Deputies met Winder Police in the area of Hwy 11/Windstream Communications and took Frady into custody.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Person: Deputies responded to the area of Oak Branch Way in reference to an unknown individual claiming to be with Performance Plus Roofing going door to door attempting to solicit for their business sometime around 4:30 pm. Deputies made contact with the individual and they were warned about soliciting business door to door without a permit and were advised of the proper procedure.

ZONE 6

Suspicious Person: Deputies responded to a residence on Stoney Creek Way in reference to the complainant reporting that an unknown individual was seen running from the complainant’s neighbor’s driveway sometime around 3:30 am. The unknown individual left the scene in a black Toyota passenger vehicle prior to the deputy’s arrival.

Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2019

ZONE 1

Arrest: A 23-year-old Loganville resident was arrested at a residence on Monroe Jersey Road for Criminal Trespass, Simple Battery and Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Suspicious Person: Deputies responded to a residence on Rivermist Drive in reference to the complainant reporting that an unknown individual in a white, newer model, Ford F-150 pulled into the complainants neighbor’s driveway and shot a firearm approximately 7 times into the wood line sometime around 6:00 pm and then left prior to deputies arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Persons: Deputies responded to a residence on Autumn Trace in reference to the complainant reporting that four unknown individuals in a white Chrysler 300 knocked on the complainant’s door sometime around 11:15 am and then left prior to deputy’s arrival.

Arrest: Two individuals were arrested in the area of Highway 78 near the Praise Center following a traffic stop.

  • J. Wesley Thompson (34, Hull) was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects and Giving False Information.
  • Heather Wright (33, Auburn) was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, No Tag Displayed, Failure to Register Vehicle and Obstruction.

Arrest: Asia Berry (37, Duluth) was arrested in the area of Bay Creek Church Road for Possession of Methamphetamine, Tampering with Evidence and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019

ZONE 1

Prowler: Deputies responded to a residence on Camp Lake Road in reference to the complainant reporting they saw an unknown individual on the property shortly after a power outage sometime around 9:15 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with the individual. Everything appeared to be okay.

ZONE 3

Arrest: A 19-year-old Monroe man was arrested for Probation Violation and Burglary in the 1st Degree following being determined he was the suspect of a burglary.

ZONE 6

Arrest A 21-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Claude Brewer Road for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.
