WCSO Alerts: Slew of unlocked vehicles entered, firearms and other items stolen

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, May 25 to Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, May 25, 2018

ZONE 2

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on Criswell Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was knocking on their door around 4:15am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Tam Nguyen was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Snip Dillard Road for Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Providence Lane in Providence Club Subdivision in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual used their credit card without authorization and got a replacement card sent to an address in Maryland.

Citation- Two individuals were cited at a residence on Mystic Drive for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Nain Celino-Alvares was arrested in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Rabbit Farm Road for Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.

Saturday, May 26, 2018

ZONE 2

Arrest- Davis Thurmond was arrested at a residence on Willow Springs Church Road for two counts of Simple Battery and Criminal Trespass following a dispute.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Kenneth Denny and Shannon Underwood were arrested in the area of Mountain Creek Church Road and Walton Road for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Perry Smith Road and Ponderoasa Trail. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Arrest and Citations in Reference to Safety Check:

  • Jeanafer Wilson was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Porderdale Police Department.
  • One motorist was cited for No Vehicle Registration.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Austin Rogers was arrested in the area of Highway 78 near Cole’s Automotive for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on New Hope Church Road and Ho Hum Hollow Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
Arrest in Reference to Safety Check:

  • Herbert Gulley was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and No Vehicle Insurance.
  • Lawrence Lahai Jr. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Violation of Limited Permit.

Arrest- Tinoshara Simmons was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Sardis Church Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Georgia Priest was arrested at a residence on Bunny Court for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a dispute call.

Arrest- Matthew Neely was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a traffic stop.

Sunday, May 27, 2018

ZONE 1

Suspicous Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Amber Hills Way in reference to a complainant of two unknown males parked in the area in a newer model white Chevrolet pickup truck wearing hoodies around 4:30am. Vehicle and individuals gone prior to deputy’s arrival. After further investigation it was found that one UNLOCKED vehicle had been entered in the area. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Saconda Mathis was arrested in Barrow County for and outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop in their jurisdiction. Barrow County Deputies transported her to county line where she was turned over to Walton County Deputies.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Ashley Sprague and John Stanfield were arrested in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Harvest Way following a traffic stop.

  • Ashley Sprague was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Lorazepam, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Ecstasy, and Possession of Alprazolam.
  • John Stanfield was arrested for Giving False Information to Officers, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Possession of Ecstasy, Possession of Alprazolam and a Taillight Violation.

Arrest- Sebastian Shepard and Jaidon Turner were arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Cown Road following a traffic stop.

  • Sebastian Shepard was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
  • Jaidon Turner was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Possession of Drug Related Objects.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Peter Smith was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Lakeshore Drive for Possession of THC Oil, Possession of Hallucinogenic Mushrooms, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Speeding following a traffic stop.

Monday, May 28, 2018

CITY OF MONROE

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at Monroe Golf and Country Club in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered their UNLOCKED vehicle and took several items including a firearm sometime between 11:00am on May 25th and 10:00am on May 28th.

ZONE 1

5 Entering Autos- Deputies took reports at five residences in the area of Amber Hill Drive, Amber Lane, and Amber Court in reference to several UNLOCKED vehicles being entered and numerous items being taken including a firearm sometime between 12:00am and 7:00am. Firearm was placed on the national database as stolen.

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Walnut Avenue in reference to a report of an unknown individual seen with a flashlight around a neighbor’s vehicle around 3:00am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Woodchase Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual tore their mailbox down sometime between 8:30pm May 28th and 12:30am May 29th.

ZONE 5

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Morgan’s Run in Morgan’s Landing Subdivision in reference to an unknown individual taking complainants black in color Ford Escape sometime between 12:30am and 5:45am. Vehicle was placed on the national database as stolen.

ZONE 7

2 Entering Autos- Deputies took reports at two residences in the area of Emerald Drive in Emerald Cove Subdivision in reference to two UNLOCKEDvehicles being entered and several items being taken sometime between 12:00am and 1:30pm.

ZONE 1

Arrest- Jesse Mince was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Youth Jersey Road for Taillight Violation, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Crossing Guard Lines with Contraband following a traffic stop.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Savannah Lott was arrested at a residence on Lee Roy Anderson Road for two outstanding Theft by Deception warrants out of Walton County.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Silas Gray was arrested in the area of Bentley Road and Bold Springs Road for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, and Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Raymond Mondelli was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and New Hope Church Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

5 Entering Autos- Deputies took reports at five residences in the area of Meadowglen Lane, Mulberry Way, Windermere Drive, and Morning Dove Court in reference to 5 UNLOCKED vehicles being entered and several items being taken sometime between 9:00pm May 28th and 8:00am May 29th.
