WCSO Alerts: Stash of unopened lottery tickets found in Walton County business

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness and Community Alerts for Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 2

Found Property- Deputies took a report at a business in the area of Highway 278 in reference to complainant reporting they found several lottery tickets still enclosed in a plastic casing. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division handled the incident.

ZONE 5

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking several items from the residence between 2:00pm on January 23, 2018 and 7:45am on January 24, 2018. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Nicholasville Road and Fannie Thompson Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No arrest or citations issued in reference to this Safety Check.

Arrest- Stephen Powell was arrested at Whits Inn in Loganville for 6 counts Theft by Shoplifting out of Walton County.

ZONE 6

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of Kristin Lane in The Falls at Rocky Branch Subdivision in reference to homeowner reporting an unknown individual damaging their mailbox.

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of South Smith Road in reference to complainant reporting they hear a loud noise outside their residence around 2:40am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anything.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Billy Bonner was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Miller Bottom Road for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
