WCSO Alerts: Stolen firearm located in a repossessed vehicle

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alert for the period Wednesday, Feb. 5 to Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, February 5, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 20-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Kent Rock Road for outstanding warrants out of Rockdale County following a traffic stop. He was transported to the county line and turned over to Rockdale County deputies.

Arrest- A 20-year-old Conyers woman was arrested in the area of Jersey Walnut Grove Road near the Shell Gas Station for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County following a traffic stop. She was transport to the county line and turned over to Newton County deputies.

ZONE 5

Unsecured Premises- Deputies responded to a residence on The Springs Drive around 11:20pm in reference to complainant reporting a door to their residence was found opened and alarm activated. Deputies cleared the residence and thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 35-year-old Covington man was arrested in the area of Forrester Cemetery Road for an outstanding warrant out of Newton County following a traffic stop. He was transport to the county line and turned over to Newton County deputies.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 41-year-old Watkinsville man was arrested in the area of Highway 186 by Oconee County Deputies for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop. He was transported to the county ling by Oconee County deputies and turned over to Walton County.

ZONE 6

Found Property- Deputies responded to a business on Karlee Boulevard in reference to a firearm being found in a repossessed vehicle. The firearm was run on the national database and came back stolen out of Alabama. Deputies took the firearm into custody.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 22-year-old Covington woman was arrested in the area of Cannon Farm Road for Aggravated Assault following a traffic stop where the vehicle she was driving was suspected to have been involved in a drive-by shooting. No one was injured during the incident. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.

ZONE 2

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lipscomb Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual struck their residence, with what appeared to be a vehicle, sometime between 5:40 am and 8:00 pm.

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 22-year-old Athens man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Bradley Gin Road for Felony Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 31-year-old Conyers man was arrested in the area of Youth Monroe Road and Broadnax Mill Road for Obstruction of an Officer, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and an outstanding warrant out of Conyers following a brief foot chase.

Saturday, February 8, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 22-year-old from Snellville was arrested in the area of Jersey Walnut Grove Road and Highway 81 near the gas station for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 2

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 278 in reference to an unknown individual taking several items from the complainant residence sometime around 5:00 pm. Individual was reported to have been driving a red in color pick-up truck.

ZONE 5

Burglary/Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Stock Gap Road in reference to an unknown individual gaining forced entry into the residence and caused extensive damage sometime between January 11th and February 8th around 12:30 pm. Walton County Criminal Investigations Division looking into the incident.

Arrest- A 33-year-old Lilburn man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Troy Smith Road for Driving Under the Influence and Driving Too Fast For Conditions following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 44-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on McKinsey Ridge for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

Arrest- Two 18-year-olds from Loganville and one 17-year-old from Oxford were arrested in the area of Carter Drive following a suspicious vehicle call.
– (18, Loganville) was arrested for Possession of Drug Related Objects and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
–  (18, Loganville) was arrested for Possession of Drug Related Objects.
– (17, Oxford) was arrested for Possession of Drug Related Objects and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

Sunday, February 9, 2020

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 28-year-old from Monroe was arrested at a residence on Twin Oaks Drive for an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County.

Citation- One individual was cited at a residence on Twin Oaks Drive for Criminal Trespass following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 50-year-old Decatur man was arrested in the area of Center Hill Church Road and Youth Monroe Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Speeding following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 20-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Highway 81 for Simple Battery following a dispute.
