WCSO Alerts: Stray bullet enters home on Governor’s Circle in Walton County on July 4th

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Tuesday, June 30 to July 5, 2020. Please note that an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Tuesday, June 30, 2020
 
ZONE 4
 
Arrest- A 25-year-old Monroe resident was arrested at a residence on Parker Drive for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County.
 
ZONE 5
 
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Forest Drive in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles.
 
Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Shiloh Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual contacted the complainant claiming to be with law enforcement out of Texas and advised the complainant they had to provide funds to keep the complainant from receiving criminal charges.
 
Arrest- A 25-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 for Speeding, Driving Under the Influence, and Open Container following a traffic stop.
 
ZONE 6
 
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Walker Bennett Road in reference to an ongoing issue with individuals riding dirt bikes and trespassing in the area.
 
ZONE 7
 
Extra Patrol-
 Extra patrol was requested in the area of Cook Road in reference to an ongoing issue with vehicles speeding in the area throughout the day and night time hours.

ZONE 4
 
Arrest-  A 49-year-old Monroe woman was arrested at a residence on Jefferson Drive for Battery and Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree following a dispute.
 
ZONE 5
 
Arrest- A 42-year-old Winder woman was arrested by Barrow County Deputies for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County. Barrow County deputies transported her to the county line where she was turned over to Walton County deputies.
 
ZONE 7
 
Arrest- A 42-year-old Snellville man was arrested at a residence on Reynolds Court for Stalking, Cruelty to Children 3rd Degree, and Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree following a dispute.  


Thursday, July 2, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Arrest- A 20-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of HD Atha Road near Alcovy Mountain Baptist Church for Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime, Failure to Maintain Lane, Passing on a Solid Yellow Line, Running a Stop Sign, Fleeing to Elude, and Felony Possession of Marijuana Greater Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

Friday, July 3, 2020
 
ZONE 2
 
Arrest- A 34-year-old Conyers man was arrested in the area of Hawkins Academy Road and Knox Chapel Road for an outstanding Parole Violation warrant.
 
ZONE 5
 
Arrest- A 57-year-old Winder woman was arrested at the Texaco Gas Station on Highway 81 for Driving Under the Influence following a two-vehicle private property accident. No injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
 
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of High Pointe Ridge in reference to recent thefts that have occurred in the area.
 
ZONE 6
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Marce Camp Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s mailbox sometime overnight.
 
Arrest- A 54-year-old Loganville man was arrested by Georgia State Patrol in the area of Gum Creek Church Road for Driving Under the Influence following a single-vehicle accident. Several occupants in the vehicle reported non-life-threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident. 

Saturday, July 4, 2020
 
ZONE 3
 
Arrest- A 62-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Highway 78 for Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime, Terroristic Threats, Reckless Conduct, and Home Invasion following a dispute.
 
ZONE 5
 
Arrest- A 31-year-old Grayson woman was arrested in the area of Bay Creek Church Road and Still Road for an outstanding Aggravated Assault warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.
 
Arrest- A 36-year-old Winder woman was arrested by Barrow County deputies for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County. Barrow County deputies transported her to the county line where she was turned over to Walton County deputies.
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Providence Club Drive in reference to complainant reporting two unknown individuals, possibly juveniles, who were driving a dark in color large ATV/Golf Cart driving recklessly through the area struck the complainants mailbox causing extensive damage around 7:00 pm. Individuals left the area prior to deputies’ arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact.
 
ZONE 6
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Governors Circle in reference to complainant reporting a stray bullet entered the complainant’s residence around 11:00 am. Deputies located the bullet and asked several residents in the area if they had witnessed any gunfire that had taken place, but none was reported. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact.
 
ZONE 7
 
Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of HD Atha Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual shooting a firearm in the area around 3:40 pm. Deputies made contact with the individual and they were shooting in a safe manner in a location zoned for shooting a firearm. 

Sunday, July 5, 2020
 
ZONE 6
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Youth Monroe Road in reference to complainant reporting an individual caused damage to two of the complainant’s vehicles with fireworks around or after 10:00 pm.
 
ZONE 7
 
Arrest- A 56-year-old Covington man was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue for Driving Under the Influence and Obstruction following a two-vehicle accident. No life-threatening injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident
