WCSO Alerts: Suspect arrested while attempting to gain entry to home in early morning hours

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Wednesday, Oct. 16 – Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Wednesday, October 16, 2019

Zone 1
 
Theft Report- Deputies took a report at BFC on Main Street in reference to complainant reporting two trailer tags missing from the location.
 
Hit and Run- Deputies took a report at Shell Station on H D Atha Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a white box truck struck a vehicle in the parking lot.
 
Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lakeshore Drive in reference to complainant reporting a vehicle on location was entered between 8:00 pm on Monday, October 14th and 8:30 am, miscellaneous items taken.
 
Zone 2
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report in the area of Highway 11 and Pleasant Valley Road in reference to complainant reporting being run off the roadway by an unknown individual driving an 18-wheeler.
 
Zone 3
 
Arrest- A 28-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Snows Mill Road for Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Entering Auto following a Burglary Report. According to Maj. Scott Whisnant, Hall appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug at the time he was arrested. He had attempted to gain entry into a residence but was not successful. The resident had shared damage to the door where the suspect had appeared to attempt to kick it in in the early morning hours. 

Zone 7
 
Extra Patrol Deputies took a report in the area of Old Highway 138 and Meridian Lake Drive in reference to complainant reporting several speeding vehicles in the area.

 Arrest- A 60-year-old resident of Oxford, Ga. was arrested at a residence on Cannon Farm Road for Battery following a dispute call.

Prowler- Deputies took a report at a residence on Spring Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was on location then ran. No contact was made.

Thursday, October 17, 2019

Zone 3

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Stanley Christian Road in reference to complainant reporting the residence was entered. Nothing was taken. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations responded.

Citation- Deputies took a report at a residence on Old Good Hope Road in reference to complainant reporting an individual on location refusing to leave. Deputies gave the individual a criminal trespass to stay away from residence.

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Stanley Christian Road in reference to complainant reporting several tools were taken from the garage. Tools were located at another location and returned to the complainant. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene and Criminal Investigations responded.

Zone 4

Vandalism Report- Deputies took a report at Shoal Creek Cemetery on Shoal Creek Road in reference to complainant reporting a monument on location was damaged by an unknown individual.

Arrest-

A 25-year-old resident of Monroe, Ga. was arrested at a residence on Daniel Cemetery Road for Theft by Receiving, Possession of Schedule II substance and Drug Related Objects following a suspicious vehicle call.

Zone 5

Theft Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Piney Grove Road in reference to complainant reporting a rifle missing from a safe on location.

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting a lost wallet. The complainant also reported a card from the wallet has been used.

Zone 7

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies took a report at Crowe’s Grocery on Highway 81 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was on location after hours. Contact was made an individual was advised to leave the location.
