WCSO Alerts: Suspicious activity, suspicious persons and a slew of arrests

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Frida, Oct. 19, 2018, to Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

October 19, 2018

ZONE 1

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Barrett Woods Road in reference to a complainant reporting they saw an unknown shadow of what appeared to be a person at their residence around midnight. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Anthony Mathis was arrested at a residence on Mountain Creek Church Road for two counts of Battery following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Nicholas Fittipaldi, Joseph Gioncardi, and Charles Hiers were arrested at a residence on Logan’s Run Road for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Christy Shetter was arrested in the area of Kent Rock Road and Kent Rock Estates for an outstanding warrant out of the Covington Police Department following a traffic stop.

Saturday, October 20, 2018

ZONE 1

Suspicious Activity- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Amber Hills Way in reference to complainant reporting suspicious activity at a residence in the area around 4:20 a.m. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 3

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Jones Woods Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male in a white in color pick-up truck was going door to door reportedly selling chicken and steaks around 4:45 p.m. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact with the individual or vehicle.

Arrest- Kenneth Massey was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Cheek Road for Driving Under the Influence, Open Container, and Speeding following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 11 and Nicholasville Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance. No citations in reference to Safety Check.
Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

  • Trelamar Douglas was arrested for several outstanding warrants of out Washington.
  • Kevon Harris was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Obstruction.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Adrian Silva was arrested in the area of Clifford Street and Covington Street for Driving Under the Influence and Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Whitney Gates was arrested at a residence on Sunny Hill Drive for Violation of Protection Order after being found on location without permission.

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Wheeler Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual used complainant’s identity and took money out of their bank account.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Jason Parks was arrested in the area of Walnut Avenue and Leone Avenue for Following Too Close and Driving Under the Influence following a two-vehicle accident with no life-threatening injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Sunday, October 21, 2018

ZONE 5

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Bullock Trail in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a black in color passenger vehicle was driving around the area without their headlights on around 10:00 p.m. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

ZONE 6

Arrest- John Thomas was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Windermere Drive for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Corron Poindexter was arrested in the area of Highway 20 and Creekwood Trail for Speeding, Fleeing to Elude, No Insurance, Expired Tag, and Violation of Restricted License (No Motorcycle License) following a brief vehicle chase.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Van Willett was arrested in the area of Briscoe Drive for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container following a suspicious vehicle call.
