WCSO Alerts: Suspicious persons and arrest for alleged ‘contraband across guard lines’

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018

ZONE 6

Arrest- Marlowe Jackson was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Broadnax Mill Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Ashley Falls Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a different state attempting to use the complainant’s Social Security Number.

Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018

ZONE 1

Hit and Run- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 138 and Youth Jersey Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown motorist in a blue in color passenger vehicle struck the complainant’s vehicle and fled the scene around 6:40 pm. No known injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 3

Arrest- Jamal Scott was arrested at a business on Highway 83 for an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County following a dispute.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Clarence Odum Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual in a silver in color passenger vehicle pulling down complainant’s driveway and looking for an individual that doesn’t live at the residence around 6:40 pm. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Nancy Way in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual knocking on complainant’s door around 4:00 am and then walked around the complainant’s residence looking in the windows. Deputies thoroughly checked the area but had no contact. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

Arrest- James Bradford was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County and Contraband Across Guard Lines following a traffic stop.
