WCSO Alerts: Suspicious persons, entering auto and trespassing arrests at Rock Quarry

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Thursday, July 26 to July 30, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, July 26, 2018

ZONE 3

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Windfield Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking a package from the residence sometime around 10:30am on July 20th.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Amber Steele was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Springdale Drive for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 81 and Forest Falls Subdivision. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Arrest and Citations in Reference to Safety Check:

•Jeremy McElyea was arrested for and outstanding warrant out of Newton County.

•Ariana Villalobos was arrested for Driving Without a License.

•One motorist was cited for No Proof of Insurance

ZONE 6

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Oakwood Place in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual contacted them via telephone claiming to be with the IRS and telling complainant they owed money.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lafayette Way in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual stole their medication.

Friday, July 27, 2018 

ZONE 1

Prowler- Deputies responded to the area of Westside Way in reference to several complaints of an unknown individual ringing several doors in the area and leaving around 2:00am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 3

Fraud- Deputies took a report at a residence on Walnut Drive in reference to complainant reporting they responded to a job opening on Facebook and the individual sent the complainant a fraudulent check in exchange for the complainant’s bank information.

ZONE 7

Arrest- John Tilley, Matthew Lohr, and Brody Tilley were arrested at the Rock Quarry on Ansley Forest Court for Criminal Trespass after being found on location without permission.

ZONE 5

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Etchison Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was trying to scam the complainant into giving the individual their information through an ad on Zillow for a rental home.

ZONE 6

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Victoria Park Drive in reference to a complainant of an unknown individual knocking on complainant’s door around 4:45am and walking off throughout the neighborhood. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Greens Mille Way in reference to a complainant of an unknown individual walking around in the area with a flashlight around 5:50am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

CITY OF MONROE

Arrest- Aaron Ward was arrested in the area of South Madison Avenue and Church Street for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 1

Arrest- Thomas Edge was arrested in the area of Monroe Jersey Road and Jersey Walnut Grove Road for Possession of Methamphetamine following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Wilfred Ratcliffe was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Jacks Creek Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Prowler- Deputies responded to the area of Cliff Top Drive in reference to complainant reporting they heard something/someone knock over something behind their residence around 12:00am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Carl David Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown vehicle was parked at the end of the road around 9:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

Monday, July 30, 2018

ZONE 1

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on HD Atha Road in reference to complainant reporting they heard an unknown individual outside their residence. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

ZONE 5

Theft- Deputies took a report at on Lower Tanner’s Bridge Road and Lover’s Lane in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking the stop signs and road name signs from location sometime in the night time hours. Walton County Roads and Bridge notified about the incident.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Ivey Drive in reference to an ongoing issue with a blue in color passenger vehicle speeding in the neighborhood.

ZONE 6

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Crestwood Trail in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual threw eggs at their residence and put them in the complainant’s mailbox sometime during the night time hours.

Arrest- Ahsante Davis was arrested at a convenient store on Highway 78 for Disorderly Conduct following several calls to 911 reporting incidents that were not taking place.

Arrest- Richard Phillips was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Broadnax Mill Road for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Tramadol, Possession of Drug Related Objects, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Prescription Drugs Not in Original Container, and Failure to Maintain Lane following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at two different residences on Kent Rock Road in reference to complainants reporting an unknown individual entered their vehicle and took several items sometime between 10:30pm and 7:00am. Both vehicles reported to have been unlocked. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident
