WCSO Alerts: Suspicious persons, prowlers, entering autos and slew of arrests

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Thursday, Sept. 3 to Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Arrest- A 33-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence in the area of H D Atha Road for an outstanding warrant out of Douglas County following a dispute.
 
ZONE 7
 
Arrest- A 43-year-old Conyers man was arrested a gas station on Walnut Avenue, Walnut Grove Sunoco, for Giving False Information following a suspicious vehicle complaint. 

Friday, Sept. 4, 2020
 
ZONE 3
 
Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Marion Ivey Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damage the complainant’s tractor sometime between Sept. 3rd and Sept. 4th.
 
ZONE 4
 
Arrest- A 24-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 at Faith Baptist Church for Burglary in the 2nd Degree and Terroristic Threats.
 
ZONE 5
 
Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Double Springs Church Road in reference to an ongoing issue with motorcycles speeding and driving reckless in the area.
 
ZONE 6
 
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 20 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual with a backpack running across the complainant’s back yard around 4:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. 

Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020

ZONE 1
 
Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Monroe Jersey Road in reference to several calls in reference to pellets landing on the complainant’s vehicle around 5:00pm. Deputies made contact with individuals dove hunting in the area, and they advised they would redirect their shooting.
 
ZONE 2
 
Agency Assist/Arrest- Deputies assisted Department of Natural Resources with the arrest of a 45-year-old Monroe man. He was arrested for Hunting Under the Influence, charges issued by Department of Natural Resources.
 
ZONE 6
 
Arrest- A 49-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Broadnax Drive for Obstruction and Disorderly Conduct following a call in reference to loud music.
 
ZONE 7
 
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Brookstone Lane in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual driving through the neighborhood suspiciously around 12:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact. 

Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020
 
ZONE 3
 
Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence in the area of New Alcovy Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s vehicle while parked at the complainant’s hunting property in the area of Locklin Road between 9:30am and 5:00pm. Complainant reporting numerous items missing out of the vehicle.
 
Prowler- Deputies responded to the area of Turkey Mountain Trail in reference to complainant reporting they heard a voice outside their residence before an unknown individual knocked on the complainant’s door around 2:00am. Complainant reported the individual fled on foot into the woods. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.
 
ZONE 6
 
Trespassing- Deputies responded to the area of Ho Hum Hollow Road in reference to a complaint of unknown individuals possibly trespassing an hunting on a property in the area around 3:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.
 
Arrest- A 40-year-old Oxford woman was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near Eastside Medical Center for Possession of Alprazolam and Open Container following a traffic stop. 

Monday, Sept. 7, 2020
 
ZONE 5
 
Arrest- A 33-year-old Covington man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Nicholsville Road for an outstanding warrant out of Florida following a traffic stop. 

Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020
 
ZONE 6
 
Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Glenda Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual looking through the window of the complainant’s vehicle around 2:30am. Complainant reported the individual ran on foot when the motion light activated.
 
ZONE 7
 
Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Nunnally Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual contacted the complainant via phone claiming to be with the DEA. Complainant reporting the caller advised the complainant had a warrant and the complainant need to pay money to get it removed.
 
Entering Auto- Deputies took reports at two residences on Kennedy Court in reference to an unknown individual entering the complainant’s vehicles sometime between 10:00pm Sept. 8th and 5:00am Sept. 9thComplainants reported numerous items missing
