WCSO Alerts: Terroristic threats, DUI, child endangerment charges and MVAs

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Community Alerts for Monday Feb. 27, 2017. Please note an arrest does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Nunnally Farm Road to take a report of an unknown individual taking several items from homeowner’s residence unlawfully.

ZONE 2

Arrest- Albert Wynn was arrested at a residence in the area of Willow Wind Court for Terroristic Threats and Acts following a dispute.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Highway 11 and Whitney Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.

Citations and Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

One motorist cited for driving in violation of license restrictions.

Joshua Epps was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Morgan County.

ZONE 3

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Highway 78 and Jim Daws Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a three vehicle accident in the area of Highway 83 and Pleasant Valley Road. No life threatening injuries. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 4

Burglary- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Mountain Creek Church Road to take a report of an unknown individual taking items from homeowner’s residence unlawfully.

Arrest- Christopher Kelly was arrested at a residence in the area of Old Athens Highway for an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County.

Arrest- Terrance Smith was arrested at a residence in the area Oak Drive for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.

Burglary- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Waverly Way to take a report of an unknown individual entering complainant’s residence unlawfully. Activity was noticed when homeowner heard their canines barking. Nothing appeared to be missing. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact with anyone. Everything appeared to be okay.

Arrest- Joyce Shepard was arrested in the area of Doster Avenue for Driving Under the Influence, Possession of Controlled Schedule IV Drugs, Possession of Controlled Schedule II Drugs, Contraband Across Guardline, Possession of Non-Labeled Prescription Drugs and Endangering a Child by Driving Under the Influence (x2) following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Montez Sims was arrested at a residence in the area of East Marable Street for an outstanding Possession of a Weapon During the Commission Crime warrant out of Walton County.

ZONE 5

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident in the area of Fannie Thompson Road. No injuries reported. Georgia State Patrol handled the scene of the accident.

ZONE 6

Theft- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Harris Drive in Harrison Mill Estates Subdivision to take a report of an unknown individual taking a firearm from the residence unlawfully. Firearm was placed on the national database as stolen.

Scam- Deputies responded to a residence in the area of Atha Circle to take a report of complainant sending funds to an individual and never received their product.

ZONE 7

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Emmett Still Road and Kent Rock Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations in reference to this Safety Check.

Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

Jeremy McElyea was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Newton County.

Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of Highway 138 and Guthrie Cemetery Road. No life threatening injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office handled the scene of the accident.
