WCSO Alerts: Theft, burglary, and don’t get into disputes if you have outstanding warrants

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, Oct. 9 – Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 9, 2020
 
ZONE 4
 
Arrest- A 23-year-old Jefferson woman was arrested at a business on Gratis Road, the Gratis Store, in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Watkinsville following a suspicious person call.
 
Theft- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 11, Just for Fun Storage, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual appeared to have burned the lock off the complainant’s storage unit and taken numerous items from the unit sometime between 12:00pm September 27th and 12:30pm October 9th.
 
Arrest- A 35-year-old Oxford man was arrested in Barrow County for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop. Hart was transported by Walton County Deputies to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
 
ZONE 6
 
Damage to Property- While conducting an area check in the area of Karlee Boulevard deputies observed what appeared to be a bullet hole through the door of a business. After further investigation it was determined the damage occurred sometime between 1:30am and 3:30am October 10th. No other damage was observed and nothing appeared to be missing. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident. 

Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020
 
ZONE 3
 
Arrest- A 47-year-old Good Hope woman was arrested at a residence on Old Good Hope Road for an outstanding Party to a Crime warrant out of Walton County.
 
Arrest- A 35-year-old Social Circle man was arrested at a business in the area of Highway 78, The Store, for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County following a dispute on location. 

Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020
 
ZONE 4
 
Arrest- A 21-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Summerset Court for Cruelty to Children in the 1st Degree and an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County.
 
ZONE 5
 
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 11 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual gaining forced entry into the complainant’s residence and rummaging through the complainants house sometime between 3:00pm October 10th and 11:20pm October 11th. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.
