WCSO Alerts: Theft, identity theft and entering auto reports on Wednesday

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

CITY OF MONROE

Arrest- Sarah Mathis was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Highway 11 for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Clearwater Drive in Clearwater Estates Subdivision in reference to several complaints of an unknown male walking around several residences in the area throughout the day. Deputies made contact with the individual and he was given a criminal trespass warning for several residences in the area. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incidents. 

Arrest- Michael Devaney was arrested in the area of Highway 83 and Clearwater Drive for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at Southern Gymnastics on Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual making forced entry and causing damage into their locked vehicle taking several items sometime around 6:30pm. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Nicholsville Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took complainants green Suzuki four wheeler sometime between 3:00am and 7:00am.

ZONE 7

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on H D Atha Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking several items from the residence sometime between Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25.

Identity Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Timberland Road in Woodlake Subdivision in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual possibly opening a mobile account in complaints name.
