WCSO Alerts: Thefts, burglaries and a slew of arrests

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the Period Thursday, Aug. 13 to Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

 Thursday, August 13, 2020

ZONE 3
Arrest- A 17-year-old Monroe woman and a 20-year-old Lawrenceville man were arrested at a residence on Creekside Court after being found attempting to take items from outside the residence.

  • The 17-year-old was arrested for Criminal Trespass, Possession of Schedule II Drugs, and Possession of Contraband Across Guardlines.
  • The 20-year-old was arrested for Criminal Trespass, Fleeing to Elude, and Possession of Schedule II Drugs.

Prowler- Deputies took a report at a residence on Snows Mill Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual in a silver in color Jeep Patriot followed the complainant into their driveway. Complainant reported an unknown male in a large jacket and baseball hat exited their vehicle and walked around the complainant’s residence before leaving the area around 8:50 pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual or the vehicle.

ZONE 4

Theft- Deputies took a report at a business in the area of James Huff Road, Walton Inn, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from the complainants hotel room sometime between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 26-year-old Covington resident was arrested in the area of Miller Bottom Road for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Maintain Lane following a single vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries.

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 56-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Nunnally Farm Road and Highway 138 for Driving While License Suspended and Open Container following a traffic stop.

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 69-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Gratis Road and Ike Stone Road for Driving Under the Influence and Open Container following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 68-year-old Monroe woman was arrested at a residence on Raleigh Way for 3 counts of Simple Assault and Criminal Trespass following a dispute. 

Saturday, August 15, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 22-year-old Snellville man was arrested in the area of Highway 138 for Driving While License Suspended and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property following a traffic stop. Firearm that was reported stolen out of McDonough Police Department was recovered from the vehicle.

ZONE 5

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Grady Smith Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainants vehicle window with what appeared to be a BB or pellet sometime between 8:00am August 14th and 9:50pm August 15th.

ZONE 6

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took the complainants white in color Isuzu Box Truck sometime between 1:00am and 3:00am. Vehicle was placed on the National Database as stolen.

ZONE 4

Burglary/Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Jim Daws Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took numerous items from the complainant’s residence and vehicles on location. Complainant reported damage to their vehicle and residence due to forced entry into both. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Daniel Cemetery Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s mailbox sometime between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.

ZONE 5

Firearms Complaint- Deputies responded to the area of Lee Peters Road in reference to a complaint of individuals shooting firearms in the area around 1:45pm. Deputies made contact with the individuals and they were shooting in a safe manner.

ZONE 6

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Green Avenue in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual shot the complainant’s mailbox. 

Monday, August 17, 2020

ZONE 4

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Jim Daws Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual gained forced entry into the complainant’s residence and took several items sometime overnight. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 32-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road for Aggravated Stalking following being found at the residence in violation of a protection order.

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 38-year-old Covington was arrested in the area of Highway 81 for Possession of Methamphetamine following a suspicious vehicle call.

Arrest- A 36-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Valley Drive for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County, Aggravated Stalking, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon following being found on location in violation of a protection order
