WCSO Alerts: Traffic stops net arrests for drug possession, license and tag violations and theft

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for March 19-20, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday, March 19, 2018

ZONE 1

Arrest- Anthony Ward was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and H D Atha Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce and Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Suspicious Person- Deputies took a report in reference to an ongoing issues with and unknown male in the area of Crestwood Trail coming to the residence asking for money and a ride. Extra patrol requested in reference to the ongoing issue.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 78 and the Praise Center in reference to an unknown motorist in a white in color van on location riding in the parking lot. Deputies made contact with the motorist and they reported they were playing a game on their phone and he was advised not to come back.

ZONE 2

Arrest- William Nord and Samuel Biscoglia were arrested in the area of Social Circle Fairplay Spur following a traffic stop.

  • William Nord was arrested for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce.
  • Samuel Bisgolia was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and Giving False Name to Officer.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Austin Earnest was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for No Tag Light and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Providence Club Drive in reference to an unknown female selling raffle tickets. Deputies made contact with the individual and they were advised to obtain a solicitor permit before they could continue.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Leland Bryant was arrested in the area of Wagon Trail and New Horizon Drive for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property following a traffic stop.
