WCSO Alerts: Trailer and ATV stolen over the weekend

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, Feb. 16 to Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Friday, Feb. 16, 2018

ZONE 1

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Kraddle Kreek Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male caller claiming to be with a company called DCI Collection Agency stating the complainant had a warrant and they needed to pay a fine to keep from getting arrested.

ZONE 4

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Shoal Creek Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown motorist in a red and gray passenger vehicle stopping in complainant’s driveway and continuously driving around the area around 2:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

Arrest- Tyson Jackson was arrested in the area of Old Athens Highway for Giving False Name to an Officer, Driving While Unlicensed, No Proof of Insurance, and an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County following a suspicious vehicle call.

Arrest- Jeremiah Adams was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Emmett Doster Road for Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Arrest- Robert Wright was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near the Texaco for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 6

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Highway 81 between Loganville Christian Academy and Tom Brewer Road in reference to an ongoing issue with speeding vehicles in the area.

Arrest- Morgan Clayton was arrested in the area of Highway 20 near Jerry’s Corner Store for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Juli Parker was arrested in the area of Highway 20 near the Country Store for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects, and No County Decal on Tag following a traffic stop.

Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018

ZONE 1

Arrest- Richard Hall was arrested at a residence on Jersey Covington Road for Battery following a dispute.

Arrest- Josue Balegamire was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Jersey Walnut Grove Road Driving With Suspended Registration, Speeding, No Proof of Insurance, Passing on Solid Yellow Line, and Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Arrest-  Johnny Johnson was arrested in the area of West Spring Street and Plaza Drive for Giving False Name to an Officer and an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Rodney Sims and Delreico Brown were arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Michael Road for outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Highway 78 in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male and female caller claiming to be with the Federal Court in Atlanta stating the complainant had a warrant and they needed to pay a fine to keep from getting arrested.

Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Tuck Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria:  valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance. No citations issued in reference to this Safety Check.
Arrest in reference to Safety Check:

  • Jacob Kriseman was arrested for Driving While License Suspended.
  • Caryna Asbayani was arrested for Driving While Unlicensed.

ZONE 6

Stolen Trailer- Deputies took a report at a residence on Logans Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took a trailer from location that had an ATV and other items sometime between Saturday, Feb. 10th and Feb. 17th. Trailer and ATV placed on the national database as stolen.

Agency Assist- Deputies assisted Barrow County Sheriff’s Office with the location of a vehicle at a residence in Walton that was involved in a crime in their county.

Arrest- Kenneth Lewis was arrested in the area of Miller Bottom Road and Harrison Shoals Road for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

Citation- One motorist was cited in the area of Highway 78 and Broadnax Mill Road for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a traffic stop.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Scarlet Clark was arrested in the area of Highway 81 near the Dollar General for an outstanding warrant out of Madison County following a traffic stop.

Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018

ZONE 1

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of PJ East Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans running from their property around 4:00pm. Complainant reported nothing appeared to be missing or damaged. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Main Street neat the Texaco in reference to a complaint of two unknown males in a black passenger van selling CD’s in the area. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 2

Arrest- Brandon Griffeth was arrested in the area of Walton Road near the Monroe City Limits for outstanding Probation Violation warrant and an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Walton County following a traffic stop.

ZONE 3

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Wayne Meadows Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual gaining entry into their residence and stealing their laptop sometime between Saturday, February 17th around 11:00am and Sunday, February 18th around 8:30am.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Brandon Lagos was arrested at a residence on Rabbit Farm Road for an outstanding warrant out of Barrow County.

Arrest- Carl Cunningham was arrested in the area of Highway 20 near Coparts for Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop.

Arrest- Mark Casey was arrested at a residence on Highway 20 for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Nathan Tanner was arrested at a residence on Valley Drive for an outstanding warrant out of Douglas County following a dispute.
