WCSO Alerts: Vehicle, ATV, Golf cart stolen, some recovered in Newton County

The Walton County Sheriff’s Officer reported the following Community Alerts for the period Thursday, Feb. 22 to Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Thursday, February 22, 2018

ZONE 4

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Vernon Road in reference to a complainant of two unknown males going door-to-door selling frozen meats around 2:50pm. Deputies made contact and they were advised to obtain a permit.

Agency Assist/Assault- Deputies responded to a residence on Phillips Drive in reference to complainant reporting being assaulted by a group of unknown individuals on Lacy Street. Monroe Police Department investigating the incident.

ZONE 5

Pornography- Deputies took a report at a residence on Bay Creek Church Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown male posing as a 16-year-old male was sending pornographic images through an app called “House Party.” Suspect claims to live in Orlando, Florida. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Shiloh Drive in reference to a complainant reporting an unknown male was in their yard around 11:00pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

ZONE 6

Arrest- Earl Bell was arrested at a business in the area of Highway 20 for an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of Loganville Police Department.

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Bomac Court in reference to an unknown individual entering complainant unlocked vehicle around 9:45pm, but nothing appeared to be missing. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident.

ZONE 2

Stolen Vehicle(s)- Deputies took a report at a residence on Sweet Briar Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took their Polaris Ranger ATV and Golf Cart sometime between 7:30pm Thursday, February 22 and 8:00am Friday, February 23. Vehicles were placed on the national database as stolen. Later deputies were contacted by Newton County Sheriff’s Office notifying vehicles were recovered in their county.

ZONE 3

Arrest- Elijah Carlyle was arrested in the area of Bearden Road for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer, Fleeing to Elude, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, Criminal Trespass, Failure to Maintain Lane, Seat Belt Violation, and Driving Under the Influence following a vehicle pursuit and single vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries. Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of the accident.

ZONE 5

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Waterford Court in reference to a complaint of two unknown males walking around residences in the area sometime after 12:00am.

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Grady Smith Road in reference to a complaint of unknown individual’s possibly smoking marijuana in the area around 12:00am-3:00am.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Highway 11 in reference to a complaint of an ongoing issue with an unknown individual in a white in color passenger vehicle parking in the middle complainant’s driveway during all hours of the night and sitting for long periods of time and leaving. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the vehicle.

Arrest- Jourdan Boss was arrested at a residence on Deep Wood Drive for Driving Under the Influence, Obstruction of Emergency Medical Services, and Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer following an EMS Assist.

ZONE 6

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Escoe Drive in reference to a complaint of unknown individuals in a red in color passenger vehicle driving around slowly in the area.

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a business on Lance Court in reference to a customer’s 2012 Dodge Journey passenger vehicle being taken by an unknown individual sometime between 5:00pm Friday, January 26 and 8:00am Monday, January 29. Vehicle was believed to have been repossessed, but after further investigation it was found the vehicle had not been repossessed. Vehicle was placed on the national database as stolen.

Suspicous Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Atkinson Road in reference to a complaint of an ongoing issue with an unknown motorist in a white in color Firebird driving recklessly, speeding, and revving their engine around 7:00pm. Deputies made contact with the driver and they were given a warning.

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to the area of Tucker Drive in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual knocking on doors in the area and running away around 9:30pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 7

Arrest- Tina Garner and Brianna Schnorr were arrested in the area of Highway 81 near Corinth Church following a traffic stop.

  • Brianna Schnorr was arrested for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Monroe Police Department.
  • Tina Garner was arrested for an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant and an outstanding Probation Violation warrant both out of Monroe Police Department.
Saturday, February 24, 2018

ZONE 2

Arrest- Lois Gutierrez and Michael Howard were arrested in the area of Highway 278 near Oasis Store following a traffic stop.

  • Lois Gutierrez was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Obstruction of an Officer.
  • Michael Howard was arrested for Obstruction of an Officer and an outstanding warrant out of Clarke County.

ZONE 4

Arrest- Michael King was arrested in the area of Gratis Road near Centerhill Baptist Church for Driving While License Suspended following a traffic stop.

ZONE 5

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Waterford Court in reference to a complaint of an ongoing issue with two unknown males in a white passenger vehicle being seen at complainant’s residence around 6:00pm. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incidents. 

Arrest- Deanna Triplett was arrested at a residence on Piney Brook Drive for Disorderly Conduct following a dispute.

ZONE 6

Theft- Deputies took a report at a residence on Youth Monroe Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from their residence sometime between 11:30am on Thursday, February 22 and 4:30pm on Saturday, February 24.

Arrest- Kyle Harrison was arrested at a residence in the area of Milton Bryan Road for an outstanding warrant out of Gwinnett County.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Youth Monroe Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown individual on a motorcycle speeding and driving recklessly in the area. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact.

ZONE 7

Arrest- Ricardo Perez-Rubio was arrested in the area of Highway 138 and Nunnally Drive for Speeding and Driving While Unlicensed following a traffic stop.
