WCSO Alerts: WCSO assist in search for hit and run driver in fatal car wreck

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Tuesday, Oct. 8, to Thursday, Oct. 2019. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Zone 3

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Locklin Road in reference to complainant reporting a fence was damaged on location by an unknown individual.

Zone 5

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at Smile Mart on Highway 11 in reference to complainant reporting 2 unknown individuals entered location during early morning hours and took several items. No vehicle description.  Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Division responded.  

Zone 6

Citation- Deputies issued a citation at a residence on Creekwood Trail for Disorderly Conduct following several 911 calls.

Zone 7

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at The Grove Wine and Spirits on Highway 138 in reference to complainant reporting 2 unknown individuals entered location during early morning hours and took several items. No vehicle description.  Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Division responded

Zone 1

Arrest- A 36-year-old Covington, Ga. resident was arrested at a residence on Twin Pines Road for outstanding warrants following a dispute call.

Zone 4

Theft Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Jack Glass Road in reference to complainant reporting the mailbox was taken from location sometime during the night.

Zone 5

Hit and Run- Deputies took a report at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road in reference to complainant reporting a dark in color Sport Utility Vehicle with no lights on struck another vehicle and left the scene. No contact was made.

Zone 6

Chase- Deputies responded to the area of Ivory Road and Creekwood Drive near construction in reference to a Ford F-150 pickup truck suspicious in the area. Deputies attempted to do a traffic stop. An unknown individual left the location on foot.

Arrest- A 25-year-old Conyers, Ga. resident was arrested at a residence on Creekwood Trail for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Possession on Schedule II Narcotic following a suspicious vehicle call. 2014 Dodge Challenger was stolen out of Newton County on Tuesday, October 8th and recovered on location.

Zone 7

Burglary Report- Deputies took a report at a residence on Greenhill Way in reference to complainant reporting entry made to the location. Window was broken and several miscellaneous item taken. Walton County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division responded.

October 10, 2019

Zone 1

Found Property- Deputies responded to Texaco on Main St in reference to complainant reporting a located purse on Lower Jersey Road along with ID and credit cards. The purse was placed into property.

Zone 2

Agency Assist- Deputies responded to Social Circle Pkwy and Fairplay Drive in reference to assisting Social Circle Police Department and Georgia State Patrol in an attempt in locating an individual following a hit and run fatality. Michael Mckool of Watkinsville, Ga. was later located at a residence on Lipscomb Rd and taken into custody without incident. (This happened on Oct. 11)

Zone 5

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Fawn Valley Drive in reference to complainant reporting a Nissan NV200 (White) has been seen multiple times in the neighborhood in the early morning hours. Extra Patrol requested, between 5:00 am and 8:00 am every day.

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a residence on Camp Lane in reference to a Gold Chevy Trailblazer was parked in front of the residence. No contact made with owner/driver. Vehicle was retagged

Suspicious Person- Deputies took a report at a residence on Roscoe Davis Road in reference to complainant reporting unknown individual in black clothing was sitting in complainant’s unlocked truck on location. Extra patrol requested in regards to a recent theft of tools. No contact was made with anyone in the area
