WCSO Alerts: Woman charged for pointing gun, battery; man charged with being a peeping Tom

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Monday, Aug. 3 to Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Monday August 3, 2020

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 33-year-old Winder man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Related Objects following a traffic stop. 

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 32-year-old Loganville woman was arrested at a residence on Taylor Drive for Criminal Trespass following being found on location and refusing to leave.

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 33-year-old Good Hope woman was arrested in the area of Centerhill Church Road and Walker Bennett Road for Driving Under the Influence following a Suspicious Vehicle call. 

Thursday, August 6, 2020

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 38-year-old Oxford man and a 36-year-old Oxford woman were arrested at a residence on Highway 81 for Possession of Oxycodone following a Welfare Check call. 

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Jersey Walnut Grove Road in reference to a complaint of an unknown male claiming to be with an insurance company taking pictures of a residence. 

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 32-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Jacks Creek Road for Criminal Attempt to Commit Burglary after being found attempting to gain forced entry into a residence around 9:20am.

ZONE 5

Arrest- A 40-year-old Loganville man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 for Driving Under the Influence, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Violation of Hands Free Law following a single vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries. Later additional charges were added for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property after being found the suspect in a stolen vehicle report. 

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 34-year-old Loganville man was arrested at a residence on Old Broadnax Mill Road for Simple Battery. 

August 7, 2020

ZONE 1

Suspicious Person- Deputies responded to a residence on Pratt Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was on the complainant’s property twice this day. The complainant reported they received an alarm notification to a building at the complainants residence around 8:30pm. Deputies responded, but the individual was going prior to their arrival. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. 

ZONE 3

Illegal Dumping- Deputies responded to the area of Pannell Road in reference to a report of an unknown individual dumping tires in the area sometime within the last week. Extra patrol was requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 4

Arrest- A 29-year-old Dacula woman was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Bold Springs Road for Driving Under the Influence, Open Container, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce following a Suspicious Vehicle call. 

ZONE 5

Stolen Vehicle- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 78, Two Brothers Auto Sales, in reference to an unknown individual taking a white Ford Excursion from the business sometime overnight. Vehicle was located in conjunction with an arrest last date. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division investigating the incident. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

Theft- Deputies took a report in the area of Rosie Court in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual taking several items from location sometime between 4:30pm August 6th and 8:00am August 7th. 

ZONE 7 

Theft- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 138, Star Tires and Automotive, in reference to a report of an unknown individual taking parts off of a vehicle on location sometime between August 1st and August 7th. 

Saturday, August 8, 2020

ZONE 1

Burglary- Deputies took a report at a residence on Jersey Walnut Grove Road in reference to an unknown individual taking two chainsaws, a bobcat, and trailer from the residence sometime between August 6th and August 8th. All items placed on the National Database as stolen.

ZONE 3

Area Check- Deputies responded to the area of Harry Arnold Road and Jim Daws Road in reference to a report of unknown motorists drag racing in the area. Deputies made contact with motorists and they were issued warnings and left the area. 

ZONE 4

Prowler- Deputies responded to a residence on John Stowe Spur in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual was ringing the complainants doorbell and running around 12:00am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone. Extra patrol requested in reference to the incident. 

ZONE 6

Loud Music- Deputies responded to a residence on Rabbit Farm Road in reference to a complaint of loud music around 11:45pm. Deputies made contact with the residents and they were advised to turn the music down. 

ZONE 7

Suspicious Vehicle- Deputies responded to the area of Guthrie Crossing Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual on a four wheeler was driving recklessly in the area around 9:20pm. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.

Sunday, August 9, 2020

ZONE 2

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Dean Hill Road in reference to complaints of an ongoing issue with vehicles speeding in the area. 

ZONE 3

Arrest- A 27-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 78 and Jim Daws Road for outstanding warrants out of Monroe Police Department and Social Circle Police Department following a two vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries. 

ZONE 7

Arrest- A 49-year-old Dawsonville man was arrested at a residence on New Horizon Drive for Reckless Conduct after being found the suspect in a Firearms call where he was determined to not be shooting in a safe manner and struck another residence. 

Monday, August 10, 2020

ZONE 5

Scam- Deputies took a report at a residence on Lee Peters Road in reference to complainant reporting they were contacted via telephone by an individual claiming to be with the US Marshals and requested personal information from the complainant. 

ZONE 6

Arrest- A 23-year-old Monroe man was arrested in the area of Highway 81 and Gum Creek Church Road for Driving While License Suspended, Speeding, Fleeing to Elude, and Driving Without a Tag following a single vehicle accident with no life threatening injuries. 

Tuesday, August 11, 2020

ZONE 1

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Cannon Farm Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 12:00am and 6:30am and took several items. 

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Jersey Walnut Grove Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 9:30pm August 10th and 6:30am August 11th, but nothing appeared to be missing. 

ZONE 5

Shoplifting- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 81, Bold Springs Texaco, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from the business and fled the area around 10:40am. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual. 

Arrest- A 52-year-old man was arrested at a residence on Bold Spring Road for Prowling, Peeping Tom, and Possession of THC Oil following being found the suspect in a prowler complaint where Martin was looking in the window of residence in the area. 

ZONE 7

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Emerald Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s unlocked vehicle sometime between 8:00pm August 10th and 8:30am August 11th, but nothing appeared to be missing. Damage to the vehicle was reported. 

Wednesday, August 12, 2020 

ZONE 1

Arrest- A 29-year-old Oxford woman was arrested at a business in the area of Walnut Avenue, Walnut Grove BP, for Reckless Conduct, Pointing a Gun at Another, and Simple Battery following a dispute.

ZONE 3

Shoplifting- Deputies responded to a business on Highway 11, The Unity Store, in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual took several items from the business around 2:00am. Suspect fled the area prior to deputies arrival. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, but had no contact with the individual.

ZONE 5

Extra Patrol- Extra patrol was requested in the area of Hudson Road in reference to a complaint of an ongoing issue with vehicles speeding in the area in the early morning hours.

ZONE 6

Entering Auto- Deputies took a report at a residence on Cobblestone Drive in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual entered the complainant’s locked vehicle and took numerous items sometime between 11:00pm August 11th and 8:00am August 12th.
