WCSO Alerts: Woman charged with DUI, child endangerment following single vehicle accident

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reports the following Community Alerts for Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

ZONE 1

Arrest: Melissa Diebal was arrested on Woodchase Drive for Driving Under the Influence and Driving Under the Influence Endangering a Child following a single vehicle accident.

Theft Report: Deputies took a report at a residence on Whitehead Road were complainant stated that their firearm was taken by someone they know. Firearm was placed on the national data base as stolen.

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on Snow Mill Road. Non-life threatening injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

Vehicle Accident: Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on Pannell Road. No known injuries reported. Walton County Sheriff’s Office worked the scene of the accident.

Trespassing: Deputies responded to the area of North Sharon Church Road in reference to an individual on location who has been previously cited for Criminal Trespassing. Deputies thoroughly checked the area, no contact.

Fraud: Deputies took a report at a residence on Sandy Creek Circle in reference to an unknown individual taking money from complainant’s account through a PayPal transaction over a craigslist advertisement.

Entering Autos: Multiple reports taken at the Cedar Ridge Crossing Subdivision in reference to unknown individual(s) taking items from vehicles in the area. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Crime Scene Division responded.

ZONE 7

Arrest: Ryan Mitchell was arrested on Highway 81 and Youth Monroe Road for Reckless Driving, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Expired Tag, Driving on a Suspended License, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon following a vehicle chase.

Entering Auto:  Multiple reports taken at the Silver Thorne subdivision in reference to unknown individual(s) taking items from vehicles in the area. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Crime Scene Division responded.

There has been a rash of Entering Autos happening at night recently. We advise you to remove all valuable items from vehicle and lock it!
