The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Freeze Warning for 11 a.m. this evening, Thursday, Nov. 15 until 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16 for the local area. In Walton County, temperatures are expected to drop to 31 degrees by 2 a.m. and only warm up to above freezing after 8 a.m.
Freezing temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation and damage outdoor plumbing. Remember to make sure pets are protected from the severe elements. A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. The NWS warns that these temperatures will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Although it is expected to be dry, watch for potential wet spots on the road that could freeze.
