The will be a large law enforcement and fire and EMS contingent visible at the old Walker Park Annex Building in Monroe from Tuesday, March 13 through Thursday, March 15, beginning at 9 a.m. each day. There is no need to panic, it is part of the ongoing active shooting training exercises for local public safety officials.
Next week’s training exercises will be coordinated by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and will include WCSO, Walton County Fire Rescue, Walton County EMS and the Monroe Police and Fire departments. The Walker Park Annex Building is located at 1820 Highway 11 in Monroe.
A similar mass casualty training event took place in November last year, coordinated by WCFR and the Monroe Police and Fire Departments.
