In the past several months, the city of Monroe in Walton County has been blessed with many new faces and new businesses. Most recently, with the opening of “Almost Home Boutique” located at 105 E. Washington Street, formally the location of Revolutionaries Market.
Owner and operator, Alyssa Roper, a native of Northern California, says she chose to open her business in Monroe because “of my love for the community, a grassroots effort and opportunity to be a part of the downtown development.”
“And also because it happens to be one of my most favorite places to come and shop for my home,” she said. “As a child I can remember spending hours window shopping at some of the most trendy boutiques in San Francisco. I was intrigued with the way patterns, colors, textures, etc. all came together to create a beautiful story.”
And when you enter the boutique you start to feel it come together. Almost Home Boutique has a wonderful offering of unique and desirable products. You’ll find kitchenware, dishware, outerware and many unusual hard to find items.
“I believe that you should love your home and it should love you back,” Roper said. “It’s where you start your day and end your day – it should tell your story, hug you and be the place where you can let it all go.”
Be sure to stop by and say hello to Alyssa Roper, one of Monroe’s newest boutique owners. She’ll be happy to meet you and show you around. Or give her a call to welcome her to the community. The phone number is 404-790-1751.
