The Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts will present “Americana – A Visual Tribute to America 250″, a special show and sale celebrating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
The exhibit will be on display from June 10 through July 21 at the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts, located at 205 South Broad Street in downtown Monroe.
Designed to honor America’s semiquincentennial, the exhibit invites artists and visitors to reflect on the nation’s history, culture, and identity through the theme of Americana. Artwork featured in the show will explore the symbols, traditions, landscapes, and stories that have helped shape the American experience over the past 250 years.
The exhibit is open to participating artists who are members of the Monroe-Walton Center for the Arts and will also serve as a sale, giving visitors an opportunity to purchase original works inspired by the patriotic theme.
The show is one of many events taking place across the country in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026, offering a local perspective on the nation’s enduring spirit and heritage.
