April is Spring Cleaning Month in Monroe for Great American Cleanup

Citizens in Monroe are invited to a community-wide spring cleaning during the month of April. To help in this effort, there will be dumpsters placed throughout the city during the month.

If you need assistance with large items, you are asked to contact the city at 770-266-5148. Volunteers may then be contacted to assist.

From April 3rd, dumpsters will be available at the following locations (also shown on map):

Matthews Park (1016 E. Marable St.)

Peter St. (Maple Heights neighborhood area)

West Marable St. @ water tower

Booth Dr./Oak St. area near the old Carver School

Magnolia St./Harris St. near the old Legion.

1101 S. Madison (across from the Quick Pick Food Mart)

Towler St. @ EC Kidd Park parking lot.

Walker Dr. at the creek area

Childers Park parking lot behind the Library

We will update you when other dumpster sites are available.


Place yard debris curbside at your residence and tires beside dumpsters.

ALSO… During the Great American Cleanup week of April 22-26, any resident living in the city limits (no businesses) wishing to bring trash, scrap metal, and/or tires (limit 10) to the City of Monroe transfer station will be able to do so without charge (FREE!!!)
