Monroe, Ga. (Jan. 26, 2026) – Piedmont Walton Hospital is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at the hospital’s Medical Office Building, 2151B West Spring St.Suite 100.
Blood donations continue to be critically needed. According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, and one donation can save up to three lives. Hospitals rely on a steady blood supply for trauma patients, infusions, and surgeries, making every donation valuable.
Before donating, the Red Cross suggests eating iron rich foods, drinking plenty of water and sleeping well the night before. A photo ID is required to donate. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
