Road was shut down for about 30 minutes
WALTON COUNT, GA (Aug. 29, 2024) – Walton County Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Craig League reports that two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Walton County on Thursday afternoon.
“WCFR responded to a two-vehicle crash on Mt Vernon Road at Mountain Creek Church Road at 1:14 p.m.,” League said, adding it was between a passenger vehicle and a commercial van.
League said two patients were transported by ambulance to Piedmont Athens, one with serious injuries and another with moderate injuries.
Georgia State Patrol worked the crash. League said Mt Vernon Road was closed for for about 30 minutes as a result of the crash.
