Breaking: 26-year-old Loganville man dies in alleged DUI accident over Labor Day weekend

Georgia State Patrol reports that a 26-year-old Loganville man died in an single vehicle accident just after midnight on Sept. 7, 2020 on North Sharon Church Road. Mohammad Anwary who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. It was determined by the investigating trooper that the driver, Ramin Abdulsambour, 30, of Tucker, was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to Northside Hospital in Gwinnett by Walton EMS.

According to the police report from GSP, Abdulsambour was negotiating a left curve on N Sharon Church Road North in his 2000 LS400 Lexus when he failed to maintain lane and ran off the road hitting a culvert with the right side of the vehicle before going airborne and hitting a mailbox. The vehicle overturned and rolled, hitting a tree with the left side of the vehicle before coming to an uncontrolled rest near the area of impact.

The name of the victim has now been given as his next of kin have been notified.

The fatality was one of 18 reported on Georgia roads by 6 p.m. on Labor Day.
