WALTON COUNTY, GA (March 5, 2026) – The driver of a second single-vehicle crash in Walton County Wednesday night was transported by air ambulance from Piedmont Walton with critical injuries.
According to Walton County Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Craig League, at 10:48 pm last night, WCFR responded to a single vehicle crash on Double Springs Road near The Springs Drive.
“The driver of the vehicle had to be extricated from the car by firefighters,” League said. “The victim was transported to Piedmont Walton where EMS met the Air Ambulance and the patient was flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta with critical injuries.”
League said Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash. Further details will be made available as they become available.
This was the second-single vehicle crash that occurred in Walton County Wednesday night. The driver died in the earlier crash on HD Atha Road.
