Breaking: Family escapes but two family pets don’t survive Loganville fire

Walton County Fire Rescue along with units from Loganville Fire Department responded to a house fire at 7330 Raleigh Way at 7:35 pm Wednesday evening, according to WCFR Assistant Chief Craig League.

“Upon arrival (the) had a working fire inside the house – firefighters were able to quickly attack and stop the spread of the fire,” League said. “All of the occupants were able to escape, although sadly there were two canines that perished in the home.”
League said the fire caused major smoke and water damage to the interior of the home and displaced two adults, and one child. The Red Cross is assisting the family. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
